Darn Typo Demons

Have you ever noticed that sometimes you can make the most impossible typos?

For instance, I was trying to type in "Amethyst" and instead I added a 'P', thus dubbing it "Ampethyst". (the P is WAAAAY on the other side of the keyboard, and I still make that darn mistake.) As if the all-popular Energy Drink could be compressed into a precious stone.
Also, I have a friend who always winds up making all kinds of funny sounding mistakes, like typing "OH MY JOD" instead of "GOD". You could take the word "claustrophobia and turn it into "claysteophobia". Hmm, does that remind you of clay pots, anyone?

So what causes these random typos? DEMONS, MAN. Freaking TYPO DEMONS. I swear, it's gotta be that. So, what kind of unusual typos can you come up with? ^^

Well if you're using two hands (which you should) and you're touchtyping it's pretty easy. Especially if it's on the same line. Because sometimes your fingers miss and hit a letter on the same line close to it. Or sometimes one of your other fingers just hits a letter unintentionally. Pretty common really. Especially for me when I touch-type fast.

You're right...However, the problem with me is, even though I had all kinds of classes in typing, I've developed this fear of Carpal Tunnel Disease, so I normally type with my right middle finger and my left forefinger... And my thumb is alwais on the space bar.

I make typo's all the time, but usually fix them before pressing enter. XD

My worst typo is "CXDFZ" instead of "XD", sad but true. XD

I usually have this little divider in my head where I seperate the keyboard into two terortoies and the one hand stays on its terrortories and visa versa. It's wierd as there is a couple of columns where they are mixed. Anyway, the point is that in this sense I have had typos such as Poekdmon and Age of Empuireks and such stuff.

Not so much demons as it is a lack of manual dexterity.

I've made all sorts of grievous typos over the ages, but there are none that I can really remember off the top of my head.

Maybe one of these days, the public will be introduced to a new way of typing; Not keyboards, but...

Have you ever heard of, or read the book "Otherland" by Tad Williams? It's quite a fantastic story (long and complicated. Perfect for bookworms like me.), and he made up something called "squeezers" for the new typing age. I'm hoping something like that will be introduced.

Then we won't be bothered by typos as much, I think/
