If you're a David Bowie fan, post here to talk about your favorite singer! Hmmm... let's start with everyone's favorite Bowie song...at the moment, mine's "Hearts Filthy Lesson".

    There's always a diamond friendly,
    Sitting in the laugh hotel,
    The hearts filthy lesson,
With her hundred miles to ****,

Oh, Ramona-If there was only something between us,
If there was only something between us,
    Other than our clothes

    Something in our skies,
    Something in our skies,
    Something in our blood,
    Something in our skies

    Paddy,
    Paddy,
    Who's been wearing miranda's clothes?

    It's the hearts filthy lesson,
    Hearts filthy lesson,
    Hearts filthy lesson,
    Falls upon deaf ears.
    It's the hearts filthy lesson,
    Hearts filthy lesson,
    Hearts filthy lesson,
    Falls upon deaf ears,
    Falls upon dead ears.

Oh Ramona, If there was only some kind of future,
Oh Ramona, If there was only some kind of future,
    And these cerulean skies.

    Something in our skies,
    Something in our skies,
    Something in our blood,
    Something in our skies.

    Paddy?...Paddy?

Paddy will you carry me, I think I've lost my way.
I'm already five years older, I'm already in my grave.
    It's the hearts filthy lesson
    Tell the others
    It's the hearts filthy lesson
    What a fantastic death abyss
    Tell the others
    It's the hearts filthy lesson
Paddy, what a fantastic death abyss
    It's the hearts filthy lesson
    Tell the others

-"Hearts Filthy Lesson", on album "1.Outside"

I love that movie! I saw it for the first time a few years ago when I was around seven. I've been a Bowie fan since. I have the lyrics to the song if you'd like me to post them.

And you don't have to be old to remeber DB; It's not like he's dead. He just finished going on his Reality world tour; I went to go see one of his shows, and it was excellent.

I love the Labyrinth as well. (If you couldn't tell from my avatar and siggy...) I think my favorite Bowi song from that film would have to be Chilly Down of Within You. All of his songs from that movie are great, so it's hard to pick favorites. I haven't really heard much of his music outisde of the Labyrinth, but I will when the chance comes along.

If your looking to hear some of his work outside of Labyrinth, I'd recomend 1.Outside and Hours... . Those are pretty good. He also has some songs on the soundtracks for Stigmata, American Psycho, Underworld, Christiane F. , Cat People, and probably more.

I'm eleven, and I like him. ;P My mom does too, she has a bunch of cassets of his music. LOL

In my opinion, you're never too young or too old to listen to DB; his music is great for any age (well, maybe not all is music, but he does have something for everybody, no?). Granted, you have to have a taste for his style of music, but once you love it, you'll never get tired of it!

So, has anyone heard that mash-up Rebel Never Gets Old ? It's a combination of Rebel Rebel and Never Get Old . I just entered a contest at www.davidbowie.com to win the promo cd. *to enter, you have to send in a 50 word essay on why your life is incomplete without it; but you do have to be a member of Bowienet in order to win*

David Bowie is awsome! My fav songs are Chinagirl and Ground control to major tom!!!!!

Those are good songs. He played them at the concert I went to earlier this year. In fact, he even played the first part of China Girl in Cantonese :D. He puts on a great concert!

Did anyone hear about that angioplasty he had in germany? He had to cancel most of his european dates because of it. His doctors thought, at first, that it was only a pinched nerve in his shoulder.

Well, this thread is getting cold; wonder if anyone will post if I revive it? Too bad he doesn't have all that many teenage fans...well, I've got a topic to discuss; anyone picked up his new promo cd "Rebel Never Gets Old"?

I'll post a list of all his movies and cds when I get a chance.
