[PokeCommunity.com] Day 6: Pokémon RBY Countdown!

    Hosted by curiousnathan and Ludger

Hello and welcome to First Generation's RBY Countdown! For the next 6 days we will be exploring some of the things that made Pokémon Red, Blue, Green and Yellow such amazing games. Every day will feature a new question to discuss, reminisce and relive the memories that RBGY gave us!

    To start things off:
Which of the original soundtracks are most memorable for you?

    So many to choose from!

I love the Bicycle theme from RBY. It's so upbeat and carefree 8) Pallet Town's theme will always have a special place in my heart for all the nostalgia, it's such a quaint and cute song for a quaint and cute town. And of course Lavender Town has an iconic soundtrack and is probably one of the creepiest soundtracks of all the games.

My favourite though would probably be the Gym Leader soundtrack. It's just super epic and exciting and really gets you pumped for a good battle imo.

Pretty much sums up my childhood in one song, actually.

Of course there's also Lavender Town and Pokémon Tower - really memorable to me. The S.S. Anne music is one of my favorites too. It's just so whimsical and cute.

Honestly, the wild and trainer battle themes are my favorite in the game, and some of my favorite tracks period. I think for what limits RBY have on them, the soundtrack is pretty damn solid. I just love listening to all the different parts in the battle themes. Those runs in the background in trainer battles are awesome.

Vermilion City is also a really good one. I'd say it's probably my favorite track as far as the towns go.

RBY has possibly the best soundtracks of all games so far. I honestly love each and every soundtrack in those games, but two of them were really memorable for me. First of them is simply the title screen music. Each time you start the game you pass the title screen and are openly welcomed to the game with an awesome piece of music that feels just so typically Pokémon. I could spend hours listening to that music instead of actually playing the game. :D
Second is the Pokémon Tower theme, so creepy... It really caught you in the and trapped you in the right atmosphere. And then there were those ghosts that shouted to get out... Terrifying.

Ohh so many to choose from...

Well, there is the classic Lavender Town! Not only for the creepiness, but I really think it's a good song!

    And my favorite is...

    ROUTE 1!

    (It's my alarm clock :3 )

Seriously, what's happier to start a brand new adventure!! :D

That's the cutest thing I've ever read omg. What an awesome way to start the day.

One of my top memorable tracks as far as RGBY go is the route theme commonly associated with Route 3. I know you'll probably knock me for this, but I remember putting my Game Boy Color's speaker to my ear often when I was on Route 3 and some of the other routes that used this track.

Another memorable one among my favorites is the Route 24/25 track that was also used at Professor Oak's introduction. When it was used for the latter, it gave the feeling that you were about to play a great game. A close third would be the track used in Viridian City and Saffron City-really fun to reminisce hearing that song in my earliest days of playing Yellow.
