    Okay, some of you will remember awhile ago I had started an RP known as: Day of the Hunimals. It went off pretty well, but eventually died. With some advice from a friend of mine I have brought it back, better than ever.

    Plot
    Year 5010, Earth?s future seems perfect. After air pollution and space became a major problem, man decided Earth needed a change. Cities, towns, stores and homes were moved underground. Places like New York City transformed from an over populated area to a forest with lakes and rivers, green grass and trees and wild animals.

    As most of Earth?s buildings were moved below the surface, its technology grew. Libraries no longer held books but microchips with information about anything and anyone that ever existed.

    Man?s knowledge was vast. In some ways, this was a wonderful thing that was better for humanity and the world. But in other ways, it opened gateways to horrible, gruesome things.

    One man, known as Dr. L. S. Dane studied human and animal sciences. He began to believe that humans and animals were more connected than others thought. He believed there was an animal inside everyone. He developed an experiment that was able to bring out that animal inside someone, not completely changing that person into an animal, but rather made the person only half animal.

    But the government wouldn?t allow Dr. Dane to test his discovery on humans. They said it was too big a risk. Dr. Dane was angry. He saw no reason why his idea shouldn?t be tested.

    So, in a confidential location in America, under a large lake, Dr. Dane made a lab designed with many machines used to make the inhumane transformation. He had many followers, who he tested his machines on. They brought him more test subjects. But Dr. Dane was afraid that his subjects would run off and inform the officials, so he had cells built to contain his unwilling subjects.

    Now, if you thought Dr. Dane couldn't get any more whack-o, you were wrong. He has begun to test the hunimals against each other in combat, forcing them to fight each other. Some of the hunimals are very unhappy with this, and decide to escape. When Dr. Dane discovers or their treachery, he sends other trained hunimals to find them and capture them.

    When we begin our story everyone is already a hunimal, and sleeping with a group of animals just like themselves. The groups go as follows: Mammals, birds, reptiles, aquatic animals, and others.

    Animal half: Coral Snake
    Description: David stands at 5'6" when he's upwards, but he can't go all the way up, due to the fact that his feet and legs had been replaced with the body of a snake. The only really human things about him, are the fact that he has hands, a torso, and a human head. His whole body is coated with scales, following the colour pattern in the picture below. On his fingers, he has no nails, and on his face, his eyes had turned beadier. Finally, his mouth now contains the fangs, and tongue of the snake, and he wears a black T-shirt at all times.

    Information about your animal: The coral snake is likely the most gaudy of North American venomous snakes. The snake is classed with several Old World species like the neurotoxic cobras, kraits, and mambas. Typically very small by comparison, averaging only 20 inches or so, this snake is seldom seen and tends to be very nocturnal.
    The snake spends much of its life underground in cracks and crevices.
    The grooved jaw along with tiny hollow fixed fangs assure that the coral has a poor delivery system for getting its venom into the victim. However, the coral snake does not have to "chew" its victim to inflict a painfully venomous bite, contrary to popular myth. The diet of the coral snake consists primarily of small lizards, snakes, reptiles and amphibians.
    When disturbed the coral snake often lays its head out of sight and rattles its flattened elevated tail and emits a popping sound with its vent lining.

    Wow, not everybody who signed up last time decided to join this one.

    Animal half: Chameleon (woo-hoo! Thank the Hubba Bubba Max commercial. XD)
    Description: When she was still human she had blonde hair and brown eyes. Now her skin and hair has taken on a greenish hue. And she has a long tail that curls at the end, which starts at her tailbone.
    Other Info: Now that she has become a part chameleon, she has some of the skills they have. She can change her skin color (not her clothes though. Kinda stinks) and she can extend her tongue, to a max of 3 feet.
    Information about your animal: You all know chameleons. They have the ability to change color to blend in with their surroundings. Though it doesn't make them invisible, it does hide them from dangerous predators. They also have an extended tongue that can stretch out so they can eat bugs off of trees.     I was warm and still in my little world of dreams, i had been sleeping for who knows how long and i was enjoying every moment of it, i heard a sudden shatter, like glass, my ears shot up in place as if to catch the sound, i slowly opened my eyes, i could see everything perfectly, it was weird, because it was midnight, and usually it takes servral minutes for human's eyes to focus in the darkness. I streached, i heard yelling, it was really clear, as if it were being taken place in this very room. Then i realized i wasn't in my room, i was in some metal room filled with all these people, they were all sleeping, when i looked closer at them in te dark they looked almost as if they were half animal.

    I stared at myself, my hands, were half paws, i had a tail, and wiskers as well, this was some dream, i told myself, it has to be some dream. More yelling, something wasn't right, they were headed this way, i was so scared, there was no exit to this room, and they would see i was awake, and would that be it?

    Animal half: Arctic Fox
    Description: Saphira has sapphire eyes, and dirty blonde hair. Before she was turned into a Hunimal, she had tannish skin, but that has now changed to a pale white color. She has canines, white fox ears, and a white fox tail. During the summer, her tail and ears turn to a grey-blue color.
    History: Saphira was an orphan from birth. She was passed around from family to family until her heart was surrounded by a wall of ice. Now, she hardly trust anyone, and its hard to gain that trust.
    Other Info: Ummy, unlike most hunimals, (or so she thinks) Saphira can sometimes turn into a full Arctic Fox. But the disadvantage is she cant control when.
    Information about your animal: The arctic fox Alopex lagopus, or white fox as it is often called, is a member of the canid family and is related to other foxes, wolves, and dogs.It weighs from 2.5 to 9 kg and measures between 75 and 115 cm in length, making it the smallest wild canid in Canada?about the size of a large domestic cat. The long, bushy tail makes up between 30 and 35 percent of its total length.

    Over the winter, the arctic fox has a heavy white coat, but during May, when the snow begins to melt, this coat is shed for a thinner, two-tone brown one. Within a few weeks the back, tail, and legs are dark brown and the remaining underparts are a buff colour. A small proportion of arctic foxes have a heavy, pale bluish-grey coat in winter, which becomes thinner and darker bluish-grey in summer. The blue coloration (blue fox) occurs in almost all populations, although the proportion tends to be higher in those animals living in marine areas that remain mostly ice-free during winter. In Canada, blue foxes seldom make up more than 5 percent of animals that are trapped, whereas in Greenland, for example, the proportion of blue foxes may reach 50 percent.
     
    I awoke with a start. I'd heard something... it sounded like it came form the room next to mine, the mammal room.

    I had been sleeping on a bunk bed in the reptile room, befitting of one who'd been half-chameleon for a couple of weeks now.

    Our room was filled with bunk beds, and one big artificial tree way in the back. I suppose it was for some of us who liked to climb trees.

    But it wasn't anything in here that'd woken me up. Still a little sleepy and a bit grumpy, I began climbing off the top bunk I'd been sleeping on. As I neared the bottom my tail whipped around and hit the person in the bottom bunk. It took me a second to realize it was David.

    "Sorry," I whispered.

    Where am I...? Saphira wondered, sitting up. She couldnt remember a thing. Where was she? What happened? Who was the cat thingy beside her? She shook her head standing up. Her back was sore from sleeping on the floor. Whats going on...?
     
    "It'sss no problem..." I said, my tongue flickering out as I spoke. I hadn't been here as long as the others. Today had only been my second day, and I had still to discover much about my part snake body. I had to resist the urge to poison, and eat Kory. I had also found that I was now noctournal, so I didn't really sleep at night.

    "What'sss bothering you?" I asked her as I slithered out of bed, my body ending up stretched out in front of her.
     
    I glanced back at the doorway. It was sealed shut.

    "Uhm, nothing. Well, no. I heard something in the other room. At least, I think I did," I stuttered.

    I eyed him wearily. My body began changing into a darker color, to blend in with the blackness of the room.
     
    "Well we can't get out right now it seemsss..." I said, my black, forked tongue, still flickering out. I couldn't see her, but I could taste her scent with my tongue, identifying her location. I had found over the time I had spent in this room, that it had an awful aroma, of reptile. Everyone complained about my odour, but it couldn't be helped.

    I used the muscles on the bottom of my body to locate myself right under the tree, where I located a mouse, and bit down hard on it with my fangs, injecting a strong poison. When this phase was completed, i swallowed it whole.
     
    I grimaced, watching him eat the mouse. I stuck to insects, like ants and flies (boy did they have a lot of those).

    "I... guess not," I said. I still felt uneasy about the noise I'd heard. Maybe it'd be morning soon. It was hard to tell when you're in a window-less room, and doubly hard when you're underground.
     
    I awoke with a start,befuddled and confused because there I was in a strange place I didn't recognize.I tried to stand up,and to my suprise when I did I was a lot shorter than the day before.I looked down at the ground and noticed my sneakers,torn to shreds a few feet away.I now had paws where my feet had once been.I looked frantically at me hands and arms.I still had five fingers but the back of my hand was covered with silver fur,and the palm of my hand was normal skin.My arms were also covered with fur.My legs were covered in fur too.I still wore my shirt and my shorts and pants.I felt something twitch behind me and turned around,yet there was nothing there.I turned around again for I had felt something behind behing.That time I had happened to catch a glimpse of a silver streak.I knew now,I had a tail.I reached up to my head and felt long ears sticking out of my hair.

    ooc:Anyone here read the Graphic Novel Chrono Crusade??Or even seen the dag called Salsa in human form from the Wild Half graphic novels??well the ears would look like that.
     
    "Hey, i don't like eating thessse thingsss either, but I can't eat anything elssse." I said to her as I noticed her grimace. I could feel the mouse in my long, slender stomach. It would probably be there for a few days before it would become fully digested. I let out a loud hiss as I slithered bck over to her, smelling her with my tongue.
     
    I took a step back. I wasn't useed to having snake-people 'sniffing' me.

    "Yeah, well, it's not like they even give us a wide variety of choices to eat."

    I looked up. There was a buzzing sound, which meant the lights were about to turn on. And sure enough, a couple seconds later the room grew really bright. Some of the reptile-people in the other bunks moaned and woke up, rubbing their eyes.

    "Guess it's morning," I said.

    Suddenly my new ears shot up again, i wasn't exactly getting the hang of being a half cat, the lights suddenly went on, and my eyes imedetly got used to the new light in the room, unlike human eyes.
    I noticed i wasn't the only one awake, a Fox of somekind was stareing at me, I stared back "we've got to get out of here, I heard foot steps, they're comming this way" I said, not asking any of the million questions that buzzed in my mind, I ran to the door silently and pressed my ear against it, "they're not just one, there's about five of them at least" i said in surprise. I paced the room in deep thought, what were we going to do? Would they harm us? or help us?, i noticed more animals wakeing up, Lika a wolf, I might've been frightend of his main enemy to be cat, but i was too scared over the noises outside.
    The crash, the yells, now and feet heading this way, something must've gone wrong, I ran next to the fox and hunched my shoulders in fear as the door opened...
     
    Saphira stood there, frozen with fear. "Whats going on, why am I here? Why do you have cat ears? Whats going to happen?!" She asked franticly, watching the door.

    The door slowly opened, and an even brighter light tumbled into the room, blinding Saphira. She didnt know what to expect.

    Ooc: Well, I guess Saphira has no idea shes a fox-thingy.
