The creature watched them, some deep anger welling up inside it's body, something from the depths of its tormented soul was coming alive.... a memory was it? or some hidden emotion? whatever it was, this new feeling was enraging the creature, bulding its lust for blood, its need for new company... Crimson eyes flared in the darkness just above the fires that engulfed the skeleton, a fiery red which hinted at a deep hatred, and yet a childish longing... but a longing for what was the question.
Shortly after the eyes flared and died down, so did all light in the room. The fire ceased to be, the flashlight in the man's hand broke, the bulb exploding from some unknown cause, and the moon faded, covered by clouds... so it seemed. No, the creature was spreading its shadow across the windows to cut out the light, all that remained was total darkness, the kind you wake up to in a lightless bedroom, unable to see your hand right against your own nose. This is the thing young children feared, the thing that prevented them from ever falling asleep, only to awaken with the possibility that you may be dead.
Once all light was gone, the creature exhaled, the same cold chill washing over the two in the room, seemingly passing directly through their flesh to hit their bones, as if this cold was unnatural and meant to terrorize, to chill the soul....and indeed it was. With this cold wave, came a gentle hiss, then the noise the creature made when preparing to take someone... then, a foeceful shove to the chests of both the inhabitants of the room, which should spread them apart a good distance, good enough for it to work...
After this was completed, the creature put its plan into action.. It decided to warp space a bit as this was now its domain, the laws of the universe differed here now. For starters, it played with the two's minds to alter their perception. They would taste rot, a voice heard would seem a great distance away in the opposite direction, and anything they touched would feel like decaying flesh. the only way to break this spell and regain the ordinary room was by touching one another, which was now extremely difficult, yet still very possible... Now, it would watch. This tactic was not intended to kill the victims, but to terrify them, to let them know their time was winding down, soon.... it would take them...
OOC: sorry for the long wait, i've had waaay too much s**t to deal with. I will try to keep up, but as i said, if i fall behind, PM me or e-mail me, i check these daily. Also, i noted the word 'death' in one of your posts at the top. is that a signal?
