So how'd you get into Death Note?

I first saw part of an episode just watching adult swim late one night, I thought it was interesting but I didn't get into it until I watched it with a friend a few weeks later. I soon searched the interwebs to catch up on all the episodes so I would know just what the hell was going on. I've also read a bit of the manga, though I stopped reading it for a while when I started showing my younger brother the show, who loves it about as much as I do. :D

Do you think the series should have ended another way? Nah, it was fine.
What would you do if you found a Death Note? I would use it against the ones I hate.
What character do you think would've made a better Kira than Light? Maybe Near, not Mello though...
Which character do you think had the best death? L heh heh heh...
Why do you like Death Note? I don't really know. But when I read the manga or watch the anime, I just get up and do something. I hate reading yet I'll read Death Note any day.
Have you ever liked a specific piece of DN Fan art? I haven't seen much Death Note fanart to be honest.
Have you ever had an OC based on DN, or a fanfiction? Nope
Have you ever read silentreaper's Death Note comics? Nope


Anyways, did it come to a shock to anyone that Mello wasn't a girl? XD When I first saw Mello, I though she was pretty cute. Then I found out Mello was a guy... And I mean in the Manga, I havent even watched the Anime since the episode 18 I think it was.

How did I get into Death Note? I had heard about it, and thought I'd check it out. It looked interesting, though a bit obscure with the skulls and death things. That kinda hold be back at first. But after borrowing the volumes from someone, I immediatly loved it. The art was good, the storyline as well. In-depth; not your regular stuff. So after finishing all volums in two days, I bought them the next day myself.

That's what you call rapid fan-turning, haha.

I have a question for all people who've read both the manga and seen the anime: which one is better? (For your information, I've only seen the beginning of the anime, but read all of the manga.)
 
I haven't completely read through the manga, but I've read quite a bit of it, and I kind of like it better than the show somewhat. There really isn't that much difference tbh with the exception of a few things. The biggest difference that I've noticed, is the ending.

I've watched the anime twice, read a couple chapters of the manga, I have a poster of Light and Ryuk hanging in my room, an L watch, and daily I wear a necklace that's the 'Kira' Heart Symbol 8DD

i've seen parts of the manga. I haven't read all of it, but enough to know what it's about and the differences.

Personally, I like the anime better. It was the first form I saw it in. Maybe if I read the manga first, I would like it more. I guess it all comes down to nostalgia.
