What ware your thoughts about the Death Note Live Action Movies?

Here is some information in case you guys forgot.

I'll put it in a spoiler tag.

Death Note (デスノート, Desu Nōto?) is a series of two live-action Japanese films released in 2006 and based on the Death Note manga series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The films primarily center around a university student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. The two films were directed by Shūsuke Kaneko, produced by Nippon Television and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures Japan.
A spin-off film directed by Hideo Nakata by the name of "L: Change the WorLd" was released on February 9, 2008.

Do you guys think they were okay, that is if you seen them.

I've only seen the first one, but I hate it when they change movies completely different from the original. ;<

Plus, Tatsuya Fujiwara (Person who plays Light) wasn't really a convincing Light. D:

Quite so.

They were decent. Both were alright, if you like the anime alot. I just started watching it when it first came on Adult Swim.

I own the first movie. It wasn't THAT great IMO. They changed it a lot than they should have. ._.; The museum scene was so.. dramatic. XD

But the movie kinda dissapointed me =/
it wasnt all that great they kinda picked the wrong actors for everyone =/

You've pretty much summed up my opinion regarding the film.
Yup, Light wasn't really Light. And CGI Ryuuk seemed awkward.

I didn't mind the actors, well I kinda didn't like Tatsuya in that role, I don't see how anyone could dislike Kenichi as L, he was spot on.

The first movie felt more like a summary of the early part of the series, but the second movie was awesome. Especially the ending, whose horn I toot a lot, but it really was a great way to end things. I can't wait to see the L movie since seeing Kenichi as L again is going to be awesome.

But he was hot so that made up for it (b^o^)b

L was better though.

I liked it, even though I've only seen the first part. I need to find part two *flailflailflail* *dead*

I thought that the movies were pretty cool o___o

I've seen the first two. Kenichi was an awesome L, in my opinion. He played out the role very well. I'm not too sure on Tatsuya, though. But yes, he was hot >.>

The L movie was already out in the cinemas here a few months ago, not too long after it was out in Japan, but my school work prevented me from watching. Though I really do want to watch it.
