    Hello guys.

I'm making some poll-ish thingy here, since I begin to think about a Gold (or Crystal) hack.

    Spoiler:

    - The first step would be to improve the way some Pokemon are played and correct some unfortunate things, such as Azumarill or Dunsparce being very mockable things. Actually I'm watching some movesets on Smogon and I find out that many Pokemons need breeding-obtained attacks or TMs. In this Gen, TMs are one-use and breeding looks complicated (to me, any ways). Technically I'll just modify stats, moves, and evolution lines, and after that I could open a thread in the "Progressing Hacks" section.
    - The next step would be to change the trainers so they're more competitive.
    - And finally I would try and judge all the mentioned changes with the questions "is it game-breaking or not?" and "is my gaming experience much more fun and rational than it was back in the days?".

    So I'm asking :

How did you people feel the game mechanics? Was it easy to get what you wanted? Did you succeed to use your favourite Pokemons? Did you find some very frustrating things that deserve a change? Do you think a Pokemon would be better if taught this or that move? Do you think a Pokemon deserves this or that Stat improvement (or nerf) so the game is more stable?

Also, I'm wondering wether breeding for moves is really a pain or not so did you obtain great results by breeding?

(I don't know either if I can edit such things in Hex, I may ask the question in the Hacking section when the time comes.)

The thing I hate most is that there are certain Pokemon that only evolve when traded. I also hated that each version had Pokemon in it that you couldn't find in the wild in the other version, although I understand the reasoning behind it.
