Ok, so not based off of a Johto starter but a deck that I thought would do good. Again HG/SS cards unless stated. And this is whatever format this deck would be legal in...I think unlimited

    Pokemon (24):
    Chansey x1
    Blissey x1
    Koffing x3
Togekiss C x1 (Platinum: Supreme Victors)
    Hoothoot x3
    Smoochum x1
    Eevee x1 (Majestic Dawn)
Staraptor FB x1 (Platinum: Supreme Victors)
    Sentret x1
    Furret x1
    Mareep x2
    Meowth x3
    Persian x1
    Miltank x3
    Dunsparce x1
    Trainers (11):
    Professor Elm's Training Method x2
    Pokeball x1
    Pokemon Collector x1
Energy Recycle System x1 (Power Keepers)
    Moomoo Milk x3
Potion x1 (Fire Red/Leaf Green [Can be easily replaced])
Master Ball x1 (EX Power Keepers)
    Bill x1
    Energies (25):
    Lightning Energy x7
    Grass Energy x2
    Psychic Energy x2
    Fire Energy x6
    Water Energy x4
    Rainbow Energy x3
    Darkness Energy x1

I haven't really used this deck, I just wanted to see what people think about it....more to come on it today

Is this an unlimited format (casual players usually use the format) deck or a modified format (official tournaments use this format) deck? That would help my critiquing a lot, since some of those trainers aren't legal in modified.

However, I can rate what's below:
Too many Pokemon evolution lines, for starters.
Why is Dunsparce even in there?
The Furret from HGSS isn't all that good.
Where are the Starly and Staravia for Staraptor to evolve from?
The Blissey from HGSS, unless it's the Prime one, isn't all that good. Even then, that Blissey is situational and has costly attacks.

Dang, I knew i was forgetting a few things I think for this deck inparticular its unlimited. And the Staraptor is FB, so it's a Basic.
And the reasoning for Dunsparce is I've seen my friend use an Aipom, which is just like Dunsparce, very well so i thought i'd give it a shot

The Aipom your friend is using is useful for draw power, though. Dunsparce isn't.
yeah i guess i didn't see it that way, I was thinking of remaking this deck completely anyway, I tried it today and it wasn't really that good IMO, even if i did win the match.
