Ok guys, just something I thought of a minute ago. What do YOU class as a Pokemon Master being? Im sure most people will have the same idea but I'm sure others will have a different perception on what needs to be achieved to be known as a Pokemon Master.

For example, is it completing the Pokedex? Beating the gyms? Beating the Elite 4? Or just having some powerful Pokemon? These are just ideas I picked out very quickly, but please share your own here.

Probably defeating the E4 of The Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh Regions...It doesn't matter if you have a strong Pokemon if you even cannot defeat the E4....

I think, in my opinion of course, the definition of a "Pokémon Master" in the whole 'world' of Pokémon (Games, Manga & Anime series, etc) is a person who can Beat the Pokémon League and show their own worth. In my opinion, even someone who has encounter 'Legendary' Pokémon and/or captured them cannot call themselves a "Pokemon Master" is they are a totally reckless person who is interested in their own gain, so in someways I feel that a person's nature all helps define it.

The REAL Pokemon Master would have to play and pwn every Pokemon game from Red 'n Blue to D/P without cheating.

Yes, leave them rot in your boxes for all of eternity and get fame for it. :knockedou

Anyway, I think you'd have to beat all the leagues (kanto,johto,orangeislands,battlefrontier,hoenn,sinnoh,w/e else) with a team that has little weaknesses, and amazing strategies. That's about it I guess.

Interesting topic, by the way. I'm surprised not many people are responding.

I tend to think of it as a personal accomplishment, a deed that you've done to feel safe calling yourself a 'master.' For most, that deed happens to be beating the Elite Four, gyms, completing pokedex, etc.

What about the poor dial-up people who can't even get wi-fi? THE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW.

I think one of the things a Pokemon Master is, is somebody who deeply cares and loves his or her Pokemon.

That's the definition of the nerd.

In my opinion there is no worth mentioning definition for a Pokemon Master. It's not a matter of fighting skills, of catching Pokemon, of getting badges. It's the combination of these things and others... On the other hand, maybe not. I think that someone that really has fun playing the game, is to be called a Pokemon Master, on his way.

LOL! But I think its completing the pokedex, after all the motto is 'gotta catch em all'

I reckon a Pokemon Master is a person who not only treats their pokemon with trust and loves, they also have overcome many other hardships (besides beating the Gym Leaders and the Elite Four). It has nothing to do with battling Pokemon whatsoever.

When I say 'hardships', I mean the sort such as surfing across sea routes while enduring a mass attack of Tentacool.

I hope anyone gets what I'm talking about.

A pokemon master, is someone who out ranks every trainer around the world, no one cant beat him/her, literally god-like.
