Hey all. ^_^ I'm resting from ROM hacking and decided to visit other forums. So I decided to make a story, and I guess I will post it here since this is where it falls into. I'm interested in Greek mythology, so I decided to make a fanfic based on it. =P Enjoy reading it, I guess. Oh and, the rating? Oh:
Fiction K+ - 9 years and older . I guess younger ones could read it, but that is the age I suggest. Well, I finished the first chapter, which is sort of the prologue I guess, but meh. xD Enjoy, I guess.
My name is Marc Sable. I get weird dreams, and they seem real, but I should know better that they're not true, since I'm 13. These dreams… Seem to be about Greek mythology. Not always, though. I sometimes get dreams of people dying, and sometimes of the future. I seem like a freak. Well, that's just me. And tonight, I had a very unusual dream.
This dream was at this palace at the top of clouds and mountains. It seemed like people were having a party or something. Inside the palace, was a gigantic table. The table was surrounded by all types of creatures. There were furry monsters, snake women, and even dragon looking demons. There were also human-looking people there also. They ladies wore white silk dresses, and the men wore white clothing with armor over them.
At the far end of the room were 12 huge thrones. The two in the middle were the biggest which made them stand out the most. The other 10 were looking cool also though. There was one that was made of clear marble and had fish and sea creatures in it. One of the two big ones was made of ivory, and had willow leaves and golden cuckoos decorated at the back, and had a full moon above it.
Then 12 people were walking to the thrones. They all sat down at their respective one, and then the two people who sat on the large thrones stood up.
"Welcome, everyone!" said the lady that sat at the ivory throne. "As you may all know, my name is Hera, goddess of women, stars, & marriage. And of course you should know my husband Zeus, the king of the gods. We have thrown another party for immortals, because of my husband Zeus's and I anniversary. That is why we are all here."
Then, in the shadow of the entrance to the room, was a woman in a red dress. She had an evil smile on her. "Thanks for inviting all of us…" she started. "…I have a present for you, Lady Hera." Then, in her hand, two golden apples appeared. "One for you…" she started. Then she looked over at two other women. One was in Greek armor, with straightened brown hair, and another in a silk dress, with pretty blonde curled hair.
"…And one for the fairest of them all," she finished. "Athena or Aphrodite… Who is the fairest? Who will keep the golden Apple of Discord?"
Hera grabbed one of the golden apples from the woman's hand slowly and calmly. "Eris…" she said. "Are you trying to start another war? The Trojan War was a big one, we don't need another war starting here at Mt. Olympus."
Eris smiled. "No, I only want to see who is fairer, Athena or Aphrodite. That is all."
The woman with blonde hair stood up. I could tell she was Aphrodite. Aphrodite started walking to Eris. Aphrodite raised an eyebrow. "Hm…" Aphrodite said. "I think I'm fairer than that wisdom woman over there. If you could give me the golden apple Eris—"
Athena stood up and walked to Eris also. "We shall not fall in her trap, Aphrodite. Do not start another war. It was you, after all, who caused the war. My wisdom should get inside your mind, Aphrodite."
Aphrodite turned to her. "Well, smart girl, you're just some woman who fights and has a big brain, and the fairer one should be pretty, like me. After all, I am the goddess of beauty, lust, and love."
Athena glared at Aphrodite with evil silver eyes. "My intelligence says we shouldn't fight, or Eris's plan would work. You and I would fight at Mt. Olympus, and destroy the palace at where all gods and goddesses live. So I suggest—"
"Stop this!" a woman said. Her throne had grass and flowers and looked all like nature. "Demeter…" Athena said. Demeter looked at the two women. "You already started fighting. Eris's plan… worked. And where is she now?"
Everyone looked around. Eris… was gone. Zeus walked towards the crowd. "Everyone, please leave. We must fix this problem. Thank you."
All the minor gods and monsters started to leave. In the shadows of the entrance, I saw Eris. "Have fun destroying Mt. Olympus, Athena and Aphrodite. My Apple of Discord can only be created by me… Haha…" Then Eris faded.
"Couldn't we just get an apple from the Garden of the Hesperides?" Demeter asked.
Hera shook her head. "No. Those golden apples are too special. I received it from Gaia at Zeus's and I wedding anniversary. Plus, those aren't the Apples of Discord. Eris's apples have a different feel to it. And of course, all Eris does is cause trouble. Very predictable for a daughter of Nyx."
"Well we can't just have you keep a golden apple," Aphrodite said. Hera raised an eyebrow. "But it is my wedding anniversary." Athena rolled her eyes. "Three… That's an important number. Three Fates, three sons of Kronus, three Furies… And now we need three golden Apples of Discord. What shall we do? I am not letting Aphrodite having the apple."
Demeter sighed. Her hair was black, and she wore a crown made of flowers and vines. Her pink silk dress had flowers on it. In the middle of the silk dress was a symbol that showed a lion's head. "There is nothing we can do?" she asked.
Then a girl that looked around… 14-15 years old, maybe, stood up. Her blonde hair was so bright it could look silver. Her eyes were silver though. Her robe, or dress, was silver also, and she had hunting gear over the robe-looking dress. "That Eris… Well, Demeter and I will not be in this battle for the Apple of Discord. It is between you three, just as it was years ago."
"Artemis… sister… you really wouldn't want that golden apple?" a man asked. His throne was made of solid gold. It had a harp next to it and the designs of the throne had ravens on it. His hair was curly and was a light brown. His eyes were blue. He looked like a 19 year old. And he looked the most different out of all the gods and goddesses there. He wore jean shorts and a white t-shirt.
"No I don't," Artemis said, glaring at her brother. "You are such a slacker. Even at our parent's anniversary you still wear these clothes… Ugh. Be more polite Apollo." Then Apollo reached for an arrow he had in his jean pocket, and Artemis had a belt with a sack of arrows. She started to take one out, but then lightning and thunder flashed. Zeus's eyes were fiery red. "This is why I banned you children from seeing each other. You would end up killing each other!"
Then he grunted. "Anyways," he started, "The golden Apples of Discord will be sealed in a case and guarded by… the monster Chimera. The monster with a lion's head, goat body, and snake-headed tail. It will guard the case of the Apples of Discord."
Hera look shocked. "Chimera… It finally reformed after Bellerophon defeated it?" Zeus nodded. "I have kept it in a special dungeon. He will guard the apples for now, until we find a solution."
Hera looked angry. "But… my anniversary gift…!" She ran out of the throne room in anger. Aphrodite and Athena glared at each other, and walked away also. Zeus sighed. "What will become of these three goddesses? Eris… you are too good at this… Your trick has worked."
