3rd Gen Deoxys

    Just a quick question.

    I've gone through nearly all of the game now, save for some final catching needed. I went to Birth Island, and completed the little Triangle Puzzle. Deoxys comes down and fights me, as we all know. However, I'm playing LeafGreen, and the Deoxys I fought seemed to be the same from Ruby and Sapphire. From reading other sites, I was led to understand that in LeafGreen, the Deoxys I'd fight would be the Defense Deoxys. I'm just confused is all. Did Nintendo change it to match the others?
     
    This should be in simple questions
     
    You fight it in that form. Once you capture it it'll become whatever form it's supposed to be.
     
    Ah. Thanks. I was always led to believe that it takes the form of version during the fight as well. Thanks for the help.
     
    This also applies to trading. If you are trading two Deoxys', then you won't see their forms in the trade until you have them yourselves. Which adds to the miniscule seconds of suspense as they are traded...
     
    Yeah, I knew that much about trading from when I traded it from japanese FireRed to my english Sapphire, but I wasn't the one who played the Red game so I hadn't any idea. Anyway, thanks again. This can be closed now.
