So I believe it's myself Luke and B.Peaches who are hosting and judging the event. What we need to decide on is the requirements for what the entrants need to give. For example, they may be required to present a biography, a physical description, a description of their personality and how they would appear in their field (manga, game, fanfic or a show). Then we need to decide on whether or not it should be mandatory for the entrants to give a piece of art to show their character. I'm thinking of making it optional to make a drawing, sprite or whatever the case may be yet it would most certainly improve their chances if they submitted both some good writing and some good art.

So throw out your opinions on how the contest would work and what way you would like to judge.

If you're involved in the competition and we haven't spoken before feel free to add me as a friend on PC where you will find further contact details.

Ahhh, so I am part of this event, hokai~

I agree with you on the image bit. Those who participate may not have the drawing abilities, or spriting abilities to support their descriptions with art. So the art could be optional, but they still have to give us a writing description as well, and they both have to be good to have their chances increase. That way, people who don't have the drawing abilities, but give us an amazing description of their character still have a chance to win.

Since we're adding a history/biography, this would mean that contestants will have to make sure that their character isn't mary-sueish. Contestants should also try to make a trainer that does not portray themselves, as it'll be more interesting to see.

As a side note: I don't think I'm your friend on PC, so I'll go ahead and send a request.

Mary Sue's are going to be thrown at us no matter what. I'm hoping to see some diverse entries in that sense. Writing is just as important as the actual drawing aspect. If you're good at both and you submit 2 great sides to your trainer then well, you've got yourself a serious shot at winning!

Aye, that's true. Especially since some people don't even know what is a mary-sue and what isn't. But yeah, writing + art is definitely going to give people a major advantage if they accomplish both of them well.

Do you have any idea of what the form is going to look like, seeing as it'll be easier to judge if all entries look the same in terms of formatting their trainer's profile.

    Well, I'm going to have to make up a form this evening when I'm not so rushed and busy XD;

But you're free to rustle something up if you have some ideas as it's as much hosted by you as it is myself and Luke and I'm confident that we can work together to make something neat and fair to all users. The biggest feat will be making a fair way in which to judge, which I think we can work with through PM's or in private seeing as in entrants can peep in here and see the inside scoop if they wanted to ;]

    Haha, good idea!

Well, it looks like all three of us have MSN, perhaps we can speak about how to do the judging there, so those silly participants can't peep in on us. :3 I've had my own share of making forms for characters (thank you, roleplaying), a basic form I see is typically this:

    Name:
    Gender:
    Age:
    Appearance:
    Personality:
    Biography/History:

From this, perhaps we can add, move around, or subtract something.

Added in my additions there. That seems to be fine though don't you think? Also, I'm pretty sure I might not be around for the first night of the event, so I'm relying on you two to kick it off. Something came up that I'm going to be away for a day.
