Here's some of the stuff for the Writer's Dex. Updates sporadically or never. Below is one for my main man Shroomish. Below that is one for my other main man Breloom.
Some like the rain
She rushed under the tree with the broadest leaves she could find, seeking shelter. All around her, the world was rocking. Heavy rain beat the trees of the forest, shaking them in rhythm. As she crouched in the shaded mud, coughing, wet all over, feeling a chill, she slowly folded her arms and resigned herself to waiting.
A few minutes passed and the rain would not let up. She felt soil shifting beside her and jerked aside. A tiny, slow Shroomish was wriggling out, and upon escape it meandered into the rain. Other Shroomish emerged, some from muddied earth, most from under trees' dark shadows. They seemed to spread their tan petals a little wider in the rain. Despite their expressions, they savored it.
She stayed still and watched them through the watery curtain. But when a Shroomish looked to her, she felt compelled to stand.
On Breloom
Those massive, shining eyes belie
a mighty modern dinosaur
(though one that's swapped a trademark roar
for photosynthesis and spore)
But still a tough and wiry guy
and quite tenacious at its core!
