Di Gi Charat is probably my favorite anime. Does anyone else here watch it?
EDIT: I may as well edit this to include a short version of what my second post was meant to be.
Di Gi Charat is an anime originally made as an advertisement for the Akihabara store, Gamers. The original series was only 16 episodes long, with each episode being 3 minutes. It is about a 10 year old alien catgirl named Dejiko, who is the princess of Planet Di Gi Charat. She escaped from Di Gi Charat after the planet was attacked by the evil Black Gema Gema Gang from Planet Analogue. Dejiko, her little stister Puchiko, and their friend Gema crash in Akihabara, a neighborhood in Tokyo. Because they have just landed on Earth, Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema are now homeless. Luckily, the manager of Gamers lets them live in the upper story for free as long as they agree to work there. The meet another employee, Rabi~en~Rose, who immediatly wants to be Dejiko's rival. A lot of episodes of the original series introduce more characters, who appear in later episodes, and the specials (and movie).
Character list:
-Dejiko is the princess of Planet Di Gi Charat. She is 10 years old and is a catgirl. While she looks very sweet and kind, she is actually rude, selfish, and violent. She has a power called the Mekara Beam, which allows her to shoot lasers from her eyes. She has a goal to be an idol when she growns up. She says 'nyo' at the end of every sentance.
-Puchiko is Dejiko's 5 year old sister. Puchiko is a very kind girl, and doesn't talk often. But when she does talk, it's often to correct what someone else says or to point out their stupidity. She also can use the Mekara Beam, but isn't too good at it. She says 'nyu' at the end of every sentance.
-Gema is the 'friend' of Dejiko and Puchiko. It's his job to take care of them when they aren't with the King and Queen of Di Gi Charat. Gema is a yellow, round creature who floats upside down. He is always being beaten up by the other characters (especially Dejiko) for now reason. He says 'gema' at the end of every sentance.
-Rabi~en~Rose is an employee at Gamers. She is 14 years old. She, like Dejiko, also wants to be an idol, so she becomes Dejiko's rival. Her real name is Hikaru Usada, and she hates it when people call her by her real name (unless she's at school, in which case it's the exact opposite).
-Minagawa Takurou is an average 14 year old boy. He visits Gamers in search of trading cards, and he ends up falling in love with Usada.
-Kimura Takurou (who is not related to Minagawa, by the way) is a rich man who lives in a mansion. He walks into Gamers one day and hears Dejiko saying 'nyo'. This annoys him (saying the language needs to stay beautiful), so he complains about it. He is then annoyed by Gema saying 'gema'. He sees Puchiko, and becomes obsessed with her to the point where her saying 'nyu' doesn't annoy him. He seems to be in love with her or something (creepy!).
-Takeshi and Yoshimi are two otakus who are fans of Dejiko. Dejiko calls them 'Bukimi'.
-Abarenbou is.... weird, we'll leave it at that. He's a difficult character to explain. Just watch episode 14, any of the 4 specials, or the movie to know what I mean.
-Piyoko is the evil leader of the Black Gema Gema Gang. She is also the princess of Planet Analogue. Piyoko can use the Kuchikara Bazooka, ehich lets her shoot lasers from her mouth. While she is the leader pf an evil gang, she is actually very sweet. Piyoko says 'pyo' at the end of every sentance. She first appears in the Summer Special.
-Rik is the General of the Black Gema Gema Gang. He is 26 years old and is a vetrinarian. He first appears in the Christmas Special.
-Ky is the Lieutenant of the Black Gema Gema Gang. He is 17 years old and is a dentist. He first appears in the Christmas Special.
-Coo is the Major of the Black Gema Gema Gang. He is 13 years old and is a doctor. He first appears in the Christmas Special.
So, yeah. And by the way, yes, that long is is a hell of a lot shorter than the one that I typed (and lost) last night. This only took 20 minutes, the previous list took an hour.
Also, what's really sad is I just went to edit this post, and was logged out automatically AGAIN. Thank god I was smart enough to copy it this time. :/
EDIT #2: May as well post a picture:
Well, as I stated before, it's my favorite anime if that doesn't already tell you something. I'd say 9.5/10. With .5 taken off because of how much the franchise contradicts itself.
