diamond and pearl vs battle frontier

hi. did pokemon battle frontiers come before pokemon diamond and pearl ? because in the last episode of battle frontiers ash sets off to sinnoh and is followed by aipom. but later on in diamond and pearl, ash does a swap with dawn with his aipom for her buizel. can anyone shed some light on this? thanks

Battle Frontier was season 9 and Diamond and Pearl 10 so yes Battle Frontier came first. This was also the last season with May and Max and Ash did take Aipom with him to Sinnoh but only because Aipom wanted to, just like phanpy

Battle Frontier was before....and at the end of it May and Max ended up leaving, and when Ash arrived to Sinnoh he met Dawn and later on did make that trade with aipoma and Buizel...and later on Aipom evolved into Dawn's powerhouse Ambipom...
