Diamond/Pearl Manga

    Well, thanks to Jorge (got it from Total Pokemon), he was able to link me to the first scan of the Diamon/Pearl manga:

    I'm not sure if this is going to be Pokemon Special or a different manga, but from the sources, the writer is Kosaku Anakubo.

    If this is going to be a change for Pokemon Special, I'm not entirely sure if it's a good thing or bad thing... but for now, I'll just have to see.
     
    OMFGWTFNUUUUUUUUUUUU! x_X!!!! What is up with the HORRIBLE style and porportions?!?! *dies* I seriously hope it's a different manga, as if this style keeps up, it completely and utterly kills the Pokespecial lineage! *shot* It looks more like the Ash Misty Brock manga version of pokemon (forget the name) then pokespecial. Let's all put our hands together and pray that it's not pokespecial.

    Let's call this a heated freak-out reaction that will most surely be edited later, if I'm not too lazy. xDDD
     
    I agree... the whole style is completely different and I hope that this is different from Pokespecial. Heck, I'll bear with Emerald as long as they don't change Kusaka and Yamamoto. >>
     
    This isn't PokeSpecial. It's like Colosseum, XD, Ranger, and MD. It's not a very well-known Manga, and it probably won't last more than a few chapters. The style reminds me more of Battle Frontier Emerald Challenge than PokeSpecial, too.

    Also...what the hell is with bringing out a Manga, based on a game that isn't even out yet? O_o
     
    Definately not Mr. Satoshi Yamamoto's arts. It seems to me as Ihara Shigekatsu's arts, who was the same author with the "Pocket Monsters Emerald Challenge!! Battle Frontier" Manga. Anyway, most of people say that it's not something to look at, I'm not sure yet, but I might give it a try. Just a question, is the whole chapter released yet or will it be along with the next CoroCoro?
     
    I heard it's not official. ^^; But either way, why are you judging the manga based on the artwork? xx; That's kind of dense, though the art style is kind of important when reading manga. But it's not that horrible to hate it so much. =/

    This is official! If it's in CoroCoro it's official. PokeSpecial isn't the only official Pokemon Comic. There are many others and they're official as well (some are even older).
     
    Most read manga for the art, and storyline. If the art sucks, then it's like reading big scrawny ugly font in a book, which, I don't think would be fun. The art makes up more the 50% of the manga, and whether it's horrible enough to hate it that much, well...that's a personal opinion. I am judging the manga based on it's artwork, because manga is centered on the art, unlike books in which it is centered on text. Therefore, I do not consider that opinion dense, and believe that the opposite fits the definition more.

    This is my opinion, and I mean no offense by it, and am simply pointing out the facts of my outlook on the matter.
     
    Um... to be totally and completely honest, that is the ugliest kid I have ever seen...

    But the pokemon is cute!
     
    ehh... the girl looks... weird... bleah... Is she supposed to be 10? the guy looks strange, but kinda cute. Is that girl supposed to be the diamond/pearl girl? cause if so, they did a bad job and she seems (in my opinion) a bit jerky...

    Ahh, my eyes, they burn from the style and proportions...and the art!

    I can read some of it, it seems kind of interesting. The thing about a Manga to me is, if the art is extremely bad, the story has to be well threaded to keep me interested. If FMA had bad art, I would have still stayed, because it was well threaded. If it was Tsubasa Chronicles, same. If it was, say, Beyblade...not so much. The art was good and the story was decent, thus, I continued to buy it.

    I feel the style and proportions are to bad for my eyes, but am interested how Diagura or Piagura is behind Hikari. It leads be to be fascinated by it...

    But why the HELL would they bring out a Manga before the official game release?

    Well we do know some infomation( the starters and a few random pokemon and other things), this is probably a test or something , all I know is this will NEVER be related to Pokemon Adventures.

    And sure, art is important, but I don't think this style is -that- bad. There's been worse. Proportions? Please point them out to me. No, really. I'm serious. D= I'm missing something here. (I notice the girl's face. But that's about it.) Great Teacher Onizuka is/was a highly popular manga, and the style doen'st exactly suit my taste. Neither does Naruto. One Piece was different, but I got used to it. Like someone else said, it's the story.

    Well, what I'm thinking is that this is probably some promotional stuff from a different manga-ka, and possibly a different series than Pokemon Special. And of course, Pokemon Special still doesn't have anything for Diamond and Pearl... probably half a year after the actual games are released.

    The only worse Pokemon manga I`ve seen is the scary clefairy one, and that had a bad plot, bad drawings with only humour to keep it alive. Still it was sucessful, I think this is diffrent since it dosen`t look like a humourous manga and even if it has a good plot can`t make a manga live. Still the art isn`t that bad.

    Ok,but they probably won`t change it after all manga isn`t like a T.V. Show. The illustrator and writer probably won`t easily change the charactor`s.
