I wonder how this Berry Mechanic will change decks and alter how the game is played. I mean, DP is introducing (and to some effect reintroducing) some really neat features. I wouldn't be surprised that because of the set and future sets, the TCG will rise again.

lol, yeah I used to play the TCG but then lost it somewhere at neo3 or so... partially because I'm too cheap to pay but most importantly: it does not sell *anywhere* anymore =/

I'm personally trying somewhat to pick up the game starting from DP though. It's a new generation with so many new rules/changes that it seems like a great place to start catch up.

However when it comes to the TCG's rise again, its main problem will seriously be the impossibility to *find* the frickin' cards on sale. Right now here in where I live, I have to go to specific game stores to find Pokemon cards, but every other TCG like YGO is for sale even in Walmart?

I'm looking forward to the pre-release. I guess that will be the true way to see how the mechanics work.

I want to know how many Blaziken-Infernape fans are going to ditch Blaziken in favour of Typhlosion when this set comes out. I know I'll be using Typhlosion for certain, it's one of my favourite Pokés.

I'm anxiously waiting for the release as well, I'm an old fan from way back in the day. Back when base set cards were the best. It's been a while but I think I might get back in the game.
