After some relative success with the last team I posted here, I officially retired it (Speaking of which, I really shouldn't use a single team so long xD). It was time for another new team for the OU tier, and quite frankly, I had nothing in mind other than another offensive team? Why? They are easy to play, easier to make, and are generally more faced-paced and fun than stall or a balanced team (Note to self: Make a balanced team next). Although, this time around I went more towards the bulky offense/balanced side, although I'm not really sure if calling it balanced qualifies =P So, without anymore wait (I know, wasn't it just KILLING you not knowing?), I give you the team so you may bask in its glory rate it and either rip it to shreds or make small changes.

    The Team

    • Stealth Rock
    • Explosion
Oh LeadTran, how I do happen to adore you. Your (rather obvious now adays) scarf bluffing can still work some wonders for me, and the rocks that your provide are awesome. In general, Heatran's bulk make it a wonderful lead to get the rocks up. I really wanted to use a lead that could come back into the game later on, and Heatran is a perfect candidate, wheter it be to fire off a Fire Blast or Earth Power, even just explode on something.

    • Outrage
    • U-Turn
    • Fire Punch
I really love Flygon, a lot. Even if his popularity was mostly brought up due to the banning of Garchomp, Platinum's fancy addition of Outrage gave it even more (well deserved) hype. The scouting it can do with U-Turn is great early game, as knowing the ability to eliminate the counters I face is a fantastic thing. Its dual-STAB are truely a killer force to reckon with, and it makes it all the better for Flygon to be used. Now, after actually looking at Anti's RMT and seeing that he tried Fire Punch>Fire Blast, I did a little testing and see that it did well. I'm just not totally sure if it is worth the switch. Yeah, help there =P

    • Wish
    • Protect
    • Surf
    • HP Electric
Vaporeon is definitely my favorite Eevee-lution, and always with good reason. The wish support that Vappy brings is always welcomed, whether it be healing itself, bring back up Flygon's and Heatran's HP to keep them healthy to attack, or whether it keeps Rotom well and alive to keep setting up. It has easily been one of my MVPs thusfar, and you better have good reasoning if you want me to replace it. Protect not only guarentees me a healing from Wish, but it can be good scouting to if push comes to shove. Surf grants me a nice STAB attack to fire off, and HP Electric allows me to counter any Gyarados that want to rear their heads in my face.

    The Unexpected Threat

    Lucario@Choice Specs
    Inner Focus
    Timid Nature
    252 SpA/252 Spe/4 HP

    • Vacuum Wave
    • Aura Sphere
    • HP Ice
    • Shadow Ball
Oh, Specs Luke. How your unexpectedness grants me so many easy kills. Luke's synergy with Scizor is phenomenal (As pointed out by D_A, and as I have seen myself), so it would be a shame to waste the slot on the fat blink blob when there are better things to do with it! Aura Sphere is a very reliable STAB move, and Vacuum Wave picks off weakened enemies with priority. HP Ice is used because I fear Salamence more than I do Gyarados (Especially since I have Vappy in the wings). Shadow Ball provides perfect coverage along with my Fighting STAB moves.

    Rotom-H@Leftovers
    Levitate
    Bold Nature
    252 HP/168 Def/88 Spe

    • Discharge
    • Shadow Ball
    • Overheat
    • Reflect
This little guy's Reflect has been invaluble for my team thus far, as it provides me a little more leeway for switching in and having Vappy pass around its Wish. Still though, it is definitely the easiest member of my team to replace, as his job can be done by others, while others can actually do a lot more in addition than this guy is. His dual-STAB does have nice coverage, but without any SpA investment, they don't do much damage. Overheat has been good for snagging any Scizor who are dumb enough to stay in, as well as hitting Jirachi and Metagross. Still though, his role is questionable.

    The Late-Game Brute

    Scizor@Life Orb
    Technician
    Adamant Nature
    252 Atk/224 Spe/32 HP

    • Swords Dance
    • Bullet Punch
    • X-Scissor
    • Brick Break
Replacing Metagross, and honestly with good reason. His synergy with Luke is phenomenal, and his late-game sweeping progress is great once his counters and checks are all picked off. After a Swords Dance, its Bullet Punch can tear through anything that will resist the hit, especially since they are usually weakened. X-Scissor is a reliable secondary STAB, with consistent damage. Brick Break nabs some coverage, and I can break annoying dual screens that are set up.

    Concerns

    • Salamence: I don't really have a true answer to the guy. If I go Ice Beam on Blissey, I do have something that can hit it, but it isn't anything strong. I could do Ice Beam>Protect on Vappy, but that's risky too. If push comes to shove, I could always scarf Flygon, but that isn't something I really want to do =/

    • Lucario: Once Rotom is down, he has no time coming in and sweeping.

I REALLY dont get why people think the Rotom appliances are even remotely good Luke counters, they are horrible.

+2 LO Crunch (aka the move it uses most as an attacking move along with CC and ES) vs Rotom : 100% MIN, always a OHKO.

It then KO's the rest of your team with ease.

DD Tar weak, OHKO's everything after the boost, Metagross is your best best and even he loses to LO EQ or Bibari Berry so you lose which ever DD set it runs. Band Tar can Crunch your whole team 2hkoing everything at worst bar tran, but as a suicide lead it wont be lasting long. You can revenge kill this though but sacrificing something each time it comes in = no.

Mence weak, dd mence most specifically. The dder is worse to you though, DD LO Outrage 2hko's everything never mind resistances, they still lose despite them even if you do play smart and lure them to Outrage. ._.

Nothing beats physical infernape, the SDer 6-0's you easily OHKOing Vaporeon with a SD LO CC, the physical mix also beats you pretty easily too 2hkoing vappy again with a LO CC.

Dugtrio traps and kills Blissey, Tran and Meta. 1/2 of your team.

You also lack speed or priority which makes it easy to set up on you, you basically nearly everything fast weak lol.

    Kingdra loves your team too.

Have a sub mind drifblim weak....oh.....wait....LOL!

Fire Punch >> blast and max speed on flygon. Fire Blast is awful and its ironically to beat skarm when skarm cant beat fire punch anyway and has to keep roosting or lose so it cant even set up. Cutting flygons defenses is silly for such a bad move. Id consider Jolly too, losing with the ever common Naive mence sucks. >_<

Ok, you basically have a lot of dead weight, Blissey isnt doing ANYTHING, i mean it does work but it needs support, something which you lack. Id honestly remove it for something like specs Luke, this helps revenge kill other Lucario with V-Wave and check DD Tar/tar in general. Blisseys role is also redundant with this team packing so many resistances. However the only thing Blissey does for this team is give t-wave support. Easy to gain back, Discharge >> T-Bolt on Rotom. ^__^

Then id replace Metagross for Scizor, the SDer would be cool and has amazing synergy with specs Luke. Specs Luke basically lures in and destroys everything that walls SD Scizor see things like ; Rotom, Zapdos, Gliscor, Gyara (hp rock) amongst numerous others. Bullet Punch also snags mence and with SR up and with LO recoil it helps alot.

    Just some thoughts here.

Thanks D_A, I just finished testing those, and I can definitely say that they work way better, so updating the OP. More rates people!

Swords Dance Infernape rampages through this team, OHKOing just about every member after a single Swords Dance (really, only Rotom-h can survive, and it can't OHKO back even with a Special Defense drop). Those that run Mach Punch > Stone Edge will also kill Lucario before you could even manage to revenge kill it with Vacuum Wave. Vaporeon doesn't stop it, since Close Combat OHKOs it after a Swords Dance or 2HKOs it before a Swords Dance. In order to help remedy this threat, I would suggest you change Flygon to a Choice Scarf user. Yes, you'll notice the lack of power, but it gives you a back-up to so many threats (Salamence, Infernape, Jolly Lucario, and gives Vaporeon back-up against Gyarados). Maximum Attack and Speed with a Naive nature is the preferred spread, with Fire Blast > Fire Punch to deal sufficient damage to Skarmory. With Flygon fulfilling the role of a Choice Scarf user, you'll find that giving Infernape that Swords Dance with Lucario locked in HP Ice or Scizor in general is not that unfortunate, as you can now revenge kill it.

Life Orb Gengar then becomes an uncomfortable problem for this team, 2HKOing every member with Stealth Rock and outspeeding everything (bar Flygon if you take my suggestion, but that can only switch-in on Thunderbolt and Hidden Power Fire). To fix this, I would change Rotom-h to either a Choice Scarf user with Trick to mess up stall, or plain replace him with something that handle Gengar more effectively. If you do take the first route, please note that you're prediction better be perfect, or else you'll end up losing all hopes of stopping Gengar (Scizor doesn't have Pursuit thus will not be able to trap it and kill it). You could go about making Scizor a bulky Swords Dance, though you'll end up losing a ton of power and sweeping potential. Seriously, I'm having a hard time replacing things, as once something goes you become more open to another threat =(

My only real suggestion is to make Flygon into a Choice Scarf revenge killer, and after that, you can try out juggling between TrickScarf Rotom-h and bulky Swords Dance Scizor. There are quite a few other ideas, ranging from Choice Scarf Tyranitar (traps Gengar, checks SD Lucario and SD Ape lacking Bullet Punch and Mach Punch respectively, and can also Pursuit Rotom-A, Zapdos, and surprise kill Gyarados which will make Scizor's job a whole lot easier). It's up to you, so have fun with these suggestions and please consider them.
