((Who's gonna control the cops that'll come after Fen? XD Sheesh, more trouble for the poor girl, though you picked a bad time to get all legal on her. D; -been playing Phoenix Wright a lot recently-. They'll never get to Mt. Chimney on time at this rate... But lots of things for Fen to respond to, yay. <3 Seeing as I'm italicising lots of stuff again, I'll bold her thoughts like I did before.))
She stood there, staring down at the blood that had accumulated on her left hand (the girl had taken precaution not to utilise her injured hand in a manner that would lead to his blood seeping into her wound). With a sigh, Fenton's brown eyes flitted to Carolyn, and the girl listened to what she had to say- not without finding the urge to make dry remarks in her head.
"Well, Raizel fought through the effects of a Perish Song so yeah, he is invincible."
I thought only Pokemon were supposed to be affected by that? Else everyone'd faint after three turns... Perhaps Raizel's part-Pokemon? She had to restrain a snigger at that moment, despite the situation.
"Also, I meant after I got him to the hospital which is the answer to your other remark. My mom and dad are both doctors, do you think I wouldn't know that? Slash here is going to take Raizel to some hospital in the city here, where we can find a hospital."
Well, you didn't seem to demonstrate it when you let your Pokemon yank that thing outta him... And... Ugh, I feel sick. I think I'll go clean my hand up in a minute... So long as that Metagross doesn't move, I'll be okay... I think.
"Since when did you care so much about Raizel anyway?"
Fenton's stance straightened, the girl blanching somewhat before gritting her teeth. "I don't give a damn about him!" She began adamantly, but her words were cut short as Carolyn continued her monologue.
"Don't worry, that was a joke. No one can watch someone bleed to death and just stand there. Except a murderer. They have no feelings."
Damn well that was a joke, or else you'd be bleeding to death yourself, she seethed mentally, but her body language became more relaxed upon listening to the remainder of the girl's speech. Tch. I shouldn't let myself get so bothered about comments like that- it's not as if there's any truth in them. I saved him because it was the right thing to do, and because I really don't want to be crushed by that thing over there... Fenton shuddered at the idea yet again, and pretended to be interested in adjusting Raizel's bandages- that was until his body was dragged over to the Charizard and placed upon the orange beast's back.
"Oh, if you think having him fly is stupid, let me say one thing. I once broke a leg and the bone was sticking out of the skin it was so bad! Slash here, carried me to a hospital without even causing me pain. He defines smooth flight. I'll catch up with you if you all have left by the time I return. See ya."
She was completely powerless, unable to retort in the time between Carolyn closing her mouth and the Pokemon launching themselves from the sand, into the sky.
Maybe Raizel's not the only invincible one... Came her next line of silent sarcasm, but then realisation dawned upon the small trainer. "Hey!" She hollered into the heavens, attempting (futilely) to catch their attention. "What if he falls off? He can't exactly hold on, and... Ugh, why am I even bothering... They can't hear me, and it's not as if I care about the dumb guy anyway..."
Fenton was about to turn around and head towards the sea, in order to cleanse her hand of Raizel's blood. The waves would inevitably crash over her other hand as she bend down and then seep into the wound, causing a stinging sensation within the injury. However, no such event occured, as the ground beneath her feet began to rumble. Diverting her attention to the culprit, her blood froze within her body as she witnessed the sight of the metal titan approaching her- how on Earth did it manage to close the distance between them without the girl noticing? This was not relevant, as Metagross continued to move towards her- Fenton's feet were anchored to the sand in complete and utter fear. Soon, they were inches apart, her breath causing clouds to form upon the polished surface of its 'face'. Once again, an irelevancy. All that the girl could think of was the pair of ominous- no, maleficent, forboding pair of eyes which seemingly bore into her skull, as if accusing her of something.
"No, I-I-I!" Her voice stammered, as if it were a broken record. Perspiration beaded down her temple, her heart thundering beneath her ribcage at a rate that rivalled the tremours produced by the Steel-type. She attempted to close her eyes, but she could still sense the unadulterated dark aura emanating from the creature, which instilled even more terror into her being. Fenton couldn't hear Travis summon his Tyrannitar, she instead stood there in utter petrification, praying silently and promising to atone for her sins and misdemeanours. Then, the roar from the Dark/Ground type acted as her saviour, causing Metagross to direct his fury at the other Pokemon.
"Damageplan, Earthquake attack!"
Those words, she did hear. Fenton released a high pitched, high decibel scream that pierced the air upon the ground beginning to tremble, legs still reluctant to allow her to move. As the tremours increased, a blur of brown fur darted past her, Ursaring taking her up in his arms and diving over to safety. Rosarade stared at the bear in disdain, but his haughty manner subsided upon witnessing the state of his trainer. Tears gushed from Fenton's eyes, hands clinging onto the fur of the Normal-type as she sobbed loudly from a culmination of the terror and the relief, which was now sweeping her body. Ursaring managed to stand up with the small woman in one arm, observing the struggle between the two titans as Roserade folded his boqueted arms, uncomfortable in the presence of a bawling Fenton. She never cried like that, and after all that had occurred since they landed... Well, how Metagross had the audacity to intimidate her and cause her to fret for her life...
"Roserade," he nodded curtly to the bear, and elegantly moved towards the duelling Pokemon, implanting his roots into the sand to secure himself as the earthquake passed. The Tyranitar launched an Ice Beam- the Grass Pokemon leapt high into the air, cape fluttering majestically in the slight breeze. A flurry of lacerated leaves spiralled outwards from the bunches of roses, directed towards the steel body of Metagross. Of course, they would not inflict any damage, but even if he were to scratch that stupidly shining form of it...
