Spoiler:
Full DigiDedex is included in the download file as an Excel spreadsheet.
I consider it a pretty big spoiler though (isn't the fun of the game exploring for yourself to see what Digimon are in it?) so click at your own risk. Maybe only check it out after your first playthrough? Just my suggestion.

Known Glitches:
Spoiler:
Thankfully, no game-breaking glitches have been discovered so far.
-Professor Oak's Aides will only count Digimon from #1-150 in the DigiDex when it comes to giving you rewards.
-Loreli is the strong silent type before your battle
-The "MewTwo" encounter works fine on VBA, but for some reason it freezes the game on JohnGBA Lite. Not sure about other emulators.
-Not every single reference to Pokemon has been swapped out for a Digimon. Get off my back lol
Download:
The ONLY official download of this hack! If you simply Google "Digimon Nova Red" you'll see outdated versions on third-party websites! Here is the only place to get the most up to date release!
CHANGE LOG
Spoiler:
Version 3.2 - Minor bug fixes
Version 3.1 - All item pickups edited, some graphical polish, VS Seeker removed
Version 3.0.2 - More bug fixes
Version 3.0.1 - A few minor bug fixes
Version 3.0 - Entire game has been rebuilt in Leon's Ultimate FR Rom base. 100 new mons added to the dex and a handful of new moves.
Version 2.3.1 - Most up-to-date version
Version 2.3 - The Magikarp seller would sell you a Yanmamon instead of a Manbomon. All sorts of random Digimon would appear if you went fishing in a town.
Version 2.2.1 - A trainer battle with a particular Super Nerd in the Rock Tunnel could occasionally crash the game, Silphymon could be caught in Fuschia City's pools, Lillymon would try to learn Sunny Day about three times, unique Digimon Attacks (Nova Blast, etc.) did not have custom animations
Version 2.2 - Lilithmon and Ladydevimon had the same BST, Lunamon and Dianamon had the same BST, Nohemon's catch rate was too low
Version 2.1 - Moonmon, Kazemon, and Viximon would lose levels after evolving, growth rates were a bit wonky and inconsistent, Troopmon would evolve into Kokuwamon, Ice Fang had 75 PP
Version 2.0 - A.Kazemon's sprite is a green Unown, unique attacks have glitched descriptions, Wanyamon isn't actually catchable in the game (lol), Datamon using Recycle would crash the game, Sucker Punch would do nothing
Version 1 - Mostly just an aesthetic change to Vanilla Fire Red. More or less just a swap-out of Pokemon sprites for Digimon sprites.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The game runs on VBA for Desktop and MyBoy and JohnGBA for mobile. I haven't tested it with other emulators but these three seem to be the most popular GBA emulators.
ADVICE
Spoiler:
-Don't go "Shiny hunting" because there are no shinies in the game. Sorry.
-No need to go fishing more than once. Only one Digimon can be caught via fishing: Manbomon.
-While all Digimon are viable, some have higher stats than others. They generally run on "short-term gain, low investment" vs.
"high investment, high payoff" archetypes. If you come across a horribly weak baby Digimon, chances are it will grow up to be
a total monster if you put in the time.
-The game is about 1.5x to 2x times harder than the original Fire Red, so casual players should have a good time with it. It's no pushover, but hardcore nuzlockers and such might want to come up with their own rules to make the game more challenging. Expect a considerable difficulty spike at the Elite Four.
FAQ
Spoiler:
Where do I find _____mon?
All encounter locations listed in the Excel file included in the download link.
If you want details on how to get the the game's "hidden" mons, click here:
Spoiler:
WARNING: No sane person would attempt to acquire these.
Omnimon:
You have two options for attaining Omnimon:
1. WarGreymon will evolve into Omnimon at level 100.
2. MetalGarurumon will evolve to Omnimon at level 100.
You do not need both. Either WarGreymon or MetalGarurumon is enough.
Imperialdramon Paladin Mode:
Imperialdramon will evolve into Imperialdramon Paladin Mode at level 100.
Alphamon
Dorumon will evolve into Alphamon at level 70.
ShoutmonX3SD
SwordShoutmon will evolve into ShoutmonX3SD at level 100.
Zeed=Milleniummon
1. Capture at least 50 Digimon numbered #1-150 in the Digidex.
2. Talk to professor Oak's aide in Route 15 to obtain Moon=Milleniummon.
3. Moon=Milleniummon will evolve into Zeed=Milleniummon at level 70.
Lucemon
1. Get a Coin Case from the man in the restaurant in Saffron City
2. Gamble your ass off at the Game Corner
3. Exchange 800 coins for an Aurora Ticket
4. Defeat the Elite 4
5. Take the ferry at Vermillion City port to travel to One Island
6. Head to the base of Mt. Ember. Defeat the two Rockets guarding the hideout.
7. Head inside the hideout and acquire the Ruby and Sapphire inside.
8. Head back to the Pokemon Center in One Island and talk to Celio.
9. Take the ferry back to Vermillion. Talk to the ferry man once again and he will take notice of your Aurora Ticket. You can now travel to Birth Island.
10. At Birth Island, complete the stone puzzle. The stone will move to a new location every time the player interacts with it. To complete the puzzle, the plater must approach the stone in as few steps as possible before interacting with it again. The exact steps are as follows:
a. Approach the triangle from below and press A.
b. Press ← 5×, ↓ once, then A.
c. Press → 5×, ↑ 5×, then A.
d. Press → 5×, ↓ 5×, then A.
e. Press ↑ 3×, ← 7×, then A.
f. Press → 5×, then A.
g. Press ← 3×, ↓ 3×, then A.
h. Press ↓ once, ← 4×, then A.
i. Press → 7×, then A.
j. Press ← 4×, ↓ once, then A.
k. Press ↑ 4×, then A.
Tamagotchi
1. Do not rub the Captain's back on the SS Anne. Do not obtain HM01 - Cut.
2. Catch a Chicchimon at Route 24.
3. Chicchimon will evolve into Hyokomon and learn Cut naturally at level 15.
4. Defeat Misty to allow the use of Cut outside of battle.
5. Use Hyokomon's Cut to progress through the rest of the game, eventually acquiring Surf and the Badge required to use it at Fuchsia.
6. Return to Vermillion port as if you were going to board the SS Anne. Before boarding, use Surf to explore the surrounding water. Tamagotchi can be found by interacting with the parked truck to the east of the port.

Why isn't BlahBlahBlahmon in the game? He's my favourite Digimon!
Spoiler:
Adding in new Babies, In-Trainings, and Rookie Digimon are very simple. Assuming a quality sprite exists online, I can whip up a movepool, some base states, encounter rates, and evolutionary paths in about ten minutes.
Champions, Ultimates, and Megas, on the other hand, rarely have sprites that are going to fit into a 64x64 pixel box with only 16 colours. That means I'll have to spend the next few hours editing the sprite pixel by pixel until it fits the parameters. For example, you can see how much tweaking it would take to turn this:

Why only 350 Digimon? Other hacks have a much more complete dex.
Spoiler:
Quality over quantity, my friend. The other Digimon hacks online don't take the same approach to their spriting. When it comes to Champions and up, most other hacks simply compress the sprite until its small enough to fit into the 64x64 box. Their backsprites also tend to follow a similar procedure of simply enlarging an overworld sprite.
I totally respect the approach of other Digimon rom hacks. But this is not the direction I chose to take with Nova Red. Nova Red is supposed to provide a clean, consistent experience in which every Digimon looks good. And despite my best efforts, there's still about three or four sprites I failed pretty hard at lol

Why am I still playing as Red? Shouldn't I be Tai?
Spoiler:
The Digimon world is fundamentally different from the Pokemon world. In Digimon canon, Tamers do not go around capturing Digimon and keeping them on their person for friendly competition.
Therefore it would make no sense for Tai to go around capturing hundreds of Digimon and storing them in his PC on a quest to become the "Digimon League Champion." That sounds more like the behaviour of the Digimon Emperor than anything (haha).
It's helpful to think of Nova Red as taking place in an alternate universe identical to the Pokemon world in every way, except this world is inhabited by Digimon instead of Pokemon. No other narrative or structural changes.

Level 18 at the first gym?? How grindy is this game? Why did you make it so hard?
Spoiler:
The game is about 1.5x to 2x harder than the original Fire Red. At the time of writing, I've played through the game five times now and I've never needed to grind against wild mons. You do, however, need to fight with careful strategy and diversity to come out on top. Gym leaders will always be a higher level than you so you might need a to take a few tries to figure out your opponent's movepools and how to exploit their weaknesses. But it's not a grindfest.
I do recommend fighting all enemy trainers for exp though. Not sure if you consider that grinding or not.

ExpAll?
Spoiler:
Nah. Removes the challenge.
VS Seeker?
Spoiler:
Removed. Sorry.
The Sevii Islands 4, 5, 6, and 7 are blocked off! WTH??
Spoiler:
The postgame has been streamlined, rendering Islands 4, 5, 6, and 7 obsolete. I blocked them off to not waste the player's time.
These "back sprites" don't look like back sprites at all.
Spoiler:
They're supposed to be "side sprites." Wouldn't you rather see the profile of your beloved Digimon in action instead of staring at the back of their heads?
Can you add in ____mon in a future update?
Spoiler:
Sure! If you want to provide the sprite and it's up to quality, then I would be happy to add in more Digimon at other users' request. If no compact sprite is available, I can still work my magic if the particular Digimon is in "high demand."
What about antibodies-X (evolution X), BM's and Jogress? How about more variations of each Digimon's evolution? Alter-S/Alter-B/Omega X, Jessmon, etc.?
Spoiler:
Uhhh what? Sorry but any "modern" Digimon stuff is all Greek to me. Please feel free to think of Nova Red as more of a nostalgia project than anything.
Digimon are supposed to de-digivolve back into their Rookie forms when they're not battling. Any chance of making that into a mechanic here?
Spoiler:
You can use your imagination. When you check your party Digimon, you can imagine them in their Rookie forms but the DigiDex is displaying their potential strength (as in, how far they are capable of Digivolving at that present moment). Or something. Idk
Constructive feedback and play testers welcome! Thanks!
