Dimension Fusion: Anime Style

I sunk to the ground agianst the wall, feelig too sore form that last blow to stand up. Teh DOMA duelist began to laugh at me. "That' right, jsut stay down like teh dog you are! No one can save you! You're soul will be mine!"

"Dog?!" my temper flared suddenly. 'Who you callin' a dog?!" I jumped to my feet, rage burning in my eyes. " I'm no dog! And I have everyone behind me! All my friends are with me in spirit, and you can't do anything to change that! Now watch out you goon, cause it's my turn!" I dew a card and played it on teh feild. "I play scapegoats." TEh four little goats appeared on teh feild. " This will buy me some time, but until then, it's your turn."
 
Skye watched fearfully. She'd never seen a battle like this before. It was ruthless, neither side giving an inch. It bothered her to see the hollograms dissapear.

She realeased Ruby from it's ball, calling to her Pokemon.

"We've gotta break that barrier, Ruby! Use a Thunder attack!" she yelled.

Ruby obeyed, her yellow cheeks glowing yellow as a huge amount of electricity was released, shocking the barriar.
 
The elctricity simply rebounded upon ruby. "Don't try that again!" I cried out, still breathing heavily. "teh only way this barrier will come down is when the duel is done. The loser loses his soul."

"I'll attack one of your scapegoats with End of Anubis!" The bad guy declared. Anubis slashed and one of the gaots exploded into pixels. " It is now your turn."

I drew a card and was fairly pleased at the result. "I play Monster Reborn on my Jinzo!" I declared. But as jinzo began to rise from teh grave, he all of a sudden exploded. "What?!" I declared in surprise.

" End of Anubis prevents all players from either retrieving or removing cards form teh graveyard, so your monster reborn was totally useless!"

"Fine then. I'll play a monster in face down defense mode, and end my turn."
 
Suddenly, I picked up the scent of humans in the air, and recognised them. there seemed to be another human with them, one I did not recognise. and by smell alone, I could tell he was not friendly. Completly forgetting Shadow was there, I took off at top speed to the sourse. It took less time than I thought, and i recognised the girl that had givin me the pendant. and i recognised one of the humans inside the seal. I saw the electric attack rebounding at the mouce-like pokemon, and lept in front of it to take the assult. Instantly, I felt thousands of volts spread through my body, and I fell to the ground, nearly unconcous.
 
"Oh god," Skye whispered, rushing to the wolf's side.

Ruby was taken aback, she very well could have reabsorbed the electricity, storing it for later use, but this wolf had just attempted to save her life.

Skye took the wolf in her arms, stroaking the silky fur on the top of her head.

"That was a foolish thing to do," she whispered, now wathing the battle with rapt attention.

"Be careful, Joey," she whispered.
 
OOC: I thought Raichu's ability was static, not Volt Absorb..

IC: I didn't move, I really couldn't. the thunder had paralyzed me for the time being.
 
OOC: Haha, whoops. You'll have to forgive me for that one...

BIC: Skye continued stroaking the wolf. She was really worried about Joey, though she couldn't explain why. She had to practically hold herself down to not try and get through the barriar again.
 
"Anubis, attack another goat." Teh bad guy said almost casually, and anubis caused another goat to dissipate into pixels. "Honeslty JOseph, one would think you would at least TRY to save your soul. You'r playing like an amatuer. It's your move."

" I place one monster face down." I said solemnly. " And I end my turn."
 
Skye couldn't help but wonder what he was doing. She could tell he had something up his sleeve, and she only hoped it would be enough to save him.

Ruby had made her way over to her trainer, and took Skye's hands in her paws gently. The girl had seen too much for a teen. Ruby knew very well that if Joey failed, it would be the end of the evil figure also trapped in the barriar.
 
"I'll attack another goat." He said, and the last goat dissolved. "On my next turn, I'll start going for you're face down monsters. Then it'll be all over."
I grinned in spite of myself. "You should have gone for my face down monsters all along." I grinned.

"What do you mean?"

"I can't sacrifice scapegoats, so I have to sacrifice real mosnters. So let's get this party started I sacrifice Gearfried the Iron KNight!" i shouted. one card flipped up to reveal a man made of metal before dissapearing. " I sacrifice my Swordsman of Landstar!' A small yellow man in red armor and carrying a sheild and sword also flipped up before dissolving. "And I sacrifice my Panther warrior!" a uprple panther man wearing armor flipped up before also dissolving. " I use these sacrifical forces in order to sumon my mighty Gilferd teh Lightning!!!" A poweful warrior wearing a red and silver face mask and carrying a double bladed sword rose from teh gorund accompnied by the soudsn of thunder and lightning.

"What good is your gilferd?" The other challenged. "His attack stregnth is only 2800, 200 less than my End of Anubis."

"True." I grinned. "But Gilferd contorls the power of Raigeki!" I decalred. "So whenhe hits the feild, it's bye bye to all your mosnters! Gilfer! Unleash your power on my opponent and destroy his end of anubid!" A lightning bolt lanced down ward and hit End of Anubis. The battle feild lit up brightly beforeAnubis was gone. "NOw Gilferd, attack his life points firectly!" Gilferd charged forward and speared teh Doma agent on his sword. Although it was a hologram and didn't truly hur thim, he felt pain none the less." And that drops your life points to zero!" I grinned triumphantly, but then came the unfortunate part. Teh Seal of ORichalco began to shirnk around us. As the wall came up behind me it passed through me and continued on unharmed. But the other man was panicking as he found myself boxed in on all sides. The ring bound him tightly, and then in a flash of light his body slumped down to the gorund. I walked up to it and reachgin to the gorun, I picked up a green card. On it was the man's image, looking terrified and frozen in a position of one trying to escape certain doom. I sighed and stuck teh card in my pocket. I would hold that man's soul card until we stopped his crazy master. Only then would we be able to return all the souls to their bodies, whether they be good or bad.
 
Skye gasped as the man was felled.

"That was cruel and violent," she said with dissproval in her voice, loud enough for Joey to hear. "A game of wits, and the man lost his soul..."

She trailed off, looking to Ruby, imagining what would happen to her Pokemon if she were to have suffered that fate.
 
"There was nothing I could do." I said solemnly. "It was his own card that took his soul from him. And if I had lsot, we would be walking out of here with my soul card, feeding it to some monster tehy call teh Great Beast. I don't apporve of this, but I must duel this way in order to help Yugi save the world." I finished quietly. I turned so that my back was facing her, finding I was unable to see the look of disporal on her face.

"You hve to understand. I don't duel like this because I want to. I duel like this because I have to."
 
Skye sighed. "I know how you feel. You saw the state Ruby was in earlier because I'd pushed her too hard in battle. It was because of Team Rocket, the fact that they want to destroy the world as I knew it..."

She trailed off, not wishing to discuss the particulars of her hatred tword the team.
 
Then you see why as much as I feel it ain't right to duel this way, I have no choice. " I said, daring to now take alook at her. "I promised Yugi I would help him no matter waht. I told him helping save the world was what friends were for. I promised him. And Joey Wheeler never turns his back on a promise to a friend."
 
Skye merely nodded, not trusting her voice. She remembered the promise she herself had made long ago. A tear crossed her cheek.

Ruby glanced up. "Chu!" she cried, hugging her trainer comfortingly.
 
I sighed, trying to rgain my tough guy composure. I was getting too soft. "So anyway, we need to find a way to save all our worlds at once and split them back into seperate dimensions.I figure we can help reach each others goals, but we'll have to do taht quickly I imagine the chaos this is causing ain't pretty."
 
His statement was answered by a high pitched scream. "I think you'd be right there.." Skye murmered, hurridly wiping the tear from her face.

Ruby rolled her eyes, knowing full well that her trainer wasn't showing the entire truth. "Raichu!" the Pokemon giggled, earning herself a playful kick from Skye.

"Ruby!" she said, blushing a bit. She was just lucky the others couldn't understand the Pokemon language.
 
"Nothing," Skye said, blushing a bit. "We should probably find some sort of clue as to how to unfuse the worlds."
