So I figure I'll make a showcase thread for my stuff. I typically make tags for myself and a good number of the stuff I've made (the mediocre stuff and most requests) have gone undocumented.

So anyways, newer ones on the bottom, and spoiler tags because there's quite a bit of them.

2005

My first "good" tag that actually used techniques rather than just throwing things on.

A friend of mine guided me along making this, helping me with the font and the blending.

Followed a tutorial for this one.

Tried making something on my own, using a really ugly pixel-stretch. One of two tags I keep around to remind myself that I'm not perfect.

A better shot at making something on my own with two of my favorite Pokemon.

2007

Followed a tutorial for this one.

I was messing around with the cloning stamp and coloring, just a sort of experiment that I decided looked good enough to wear for a few days.

Pretty sure that I followed a tutorial for this one.

Tried to make a sprite tag on my own without a tutorial, made for a battle. (1st place)

I don't even know how I did this. I was messing around and eventually got this.

Installed Linux, was stuck with an older version of Photoshop during this time.

Got CS2 working on Linux and made this.

2008

I'm pretty sure I made this on Linux (based on the font), but all I remember is it took me a while to make something out of it.

Not exactly sure when I made this, but apparently it falls either just before I got Linux, or during the time I used it.

Made for a battle. (1st place)

I was trying to get some kind of effect but it didn't work out. Still looks kind of neat I find.

The second tag I keep around to remind myself that I'm not perfect. This was crap that I tried to make at 2 AM.

Back to experimenting.

Sticking to the basic effect I got two tags ago.

Crazy experimenting. A lot going on, but somehow it works.

Spiced up an old tag with a sprite.

Experimenting combined with old techniques and some new ones.

Great job with this one, the sprite fits perfectly in the tag.

Love this one too! I probably should have made something like this instead of the "joke entry" that I made! xD

Good to know someone likes the Gardevoir tag, I stopped using it because I thought no one liked it. :(

I'm not really a fan of your style, which is why I've refrained from commenting, but since you want 'em anyway... xD;

This one is easily my favorite from you. The text is much better than some of your more recent tags, the colors more varied and much more diverse. What irks me about your work is that I see just a big pile of one color. For example, your gardevoir sprite tag. It's all blue, black and white, when you could've easily incorporated some green from the sprite. (The effects are easily the best amongst all of the tags you've got here on display, don't get me wrong, but it's otherwise rather plain thanks to the fact that your focal is swallowed up and the colors are so monotonous.) And then the tag you have in your sig is just straight up red, black, and white. Get some colors in there man! D: I dare you to add at least two different colors for your effects in every tag you make; Your stuff will be so much more eyecatching. I'm not asking you to spam colors like I do, but at least don't make it as predictable as the ones you've got so far. D:

Woah huge gallery...I gotta say these two are my favorite from you:

These two have the more interesting BG and effects. They just stand out to me compared to all the rest. One thing apparent in these two, though is the lighting and lighting effects kinda got outta hand.

One reoccurring problem I see in all your tags is overcontrast. That, to me, is the only real problem with these tags.​

Also, your newer ones were much better than the old.

I like that Technology Style tag. It looks cool.

Sorry; but, in my honest opinion, all your Pokémon tags stunk except for Tentacruel and Gardevoir. No offense in any way.
