Disabling Smileys

So in VMs and posts, there is the little box to disable smileys. What I want to know, is if there is a permanent way to disable them for all future VMs / posts without having to click the little box every time?

I don't want to disable seeing other people's smileys, just disable the ones in my own posts. Yeah, if it's not available, is this a viable thing?

It's under User CP > Edit Options > Messaging & Notifications, last option. :) All it does is check the box automatically everywhere, but it does the job, lol.

Some people just find the emoticon smileys really tacky or annoying in their posts ─ like me. So, the option is there for them to disable them if they don't like it.
