4th Gen Ditching your starter?

I've realized that I've never played through a game without one of the starters on my team. Was thinking about doing that for HG/SS - make my team completely original. A


Anyone agree or done this before? Thinking about doing it?

In my mind being a classic red/blue/gold/silver player..... charmander, squirtle, bulbasaur are THE starters, and every other starter after them are second

I always do too :P.. But seriously, in my honest opinion, those starters don't add up compared to the potential of wild pokemon.

Nope, I won't ditch my starter (whatever it will be, but probably Chikorita or Totodile). When I'll play the game for the first time at least.

I don't think I've ever ditched my starter, not since Red. I don't think I'll start now.

For my in-game team, I plan on keeping my Feraligatr. However, when I battle competitively, I plan on taking it out. ;D
