Hold up. You'd be suprised the amount of idiots I've played online. Not on this site, of course. One jerkarse used a Wailord against Electivire BECAUSE HE THOUGHT WATER BEATS ELECTRIC. I can understand an honest mistake but...damn.

I don't mean to use Ditto in the hopes your opponent is a complete morron, but we should acknowledge those fools. After all, they give us a free win on our card.

Your answer to your question is that when Ditto uses Transform it copies the movepool but cuts the PP down by a fraction and also takes there type for example Ditto transforms into charmander it take the type fire but does not mimic the stats of the opponent!

Exactly...Ditto would be an Uber if that was the case.

actually ditto could still be usable if someone were to pass it a substitute. it's fun and if pulled off correctly it's pretty cool, but obviously you could pass substitutes to better pokemon, say a focus puncher.

lol yeah I'm always thinking about how too pump up weak pokemon like butterfree for example with sub and agility etc. but then it occurs to me that I could just sub to a stronger pokemon and be even better off

I just use smogon for all my UU,NU needs..But some ppl here tend to make some very creative movesets so I post here for OU. NU is a bit hard..stick with UU. Ditto should do well in UU.
