    Ditto, every ones favorite pokemon to spawn eggs when we can't find a female or male pokemon to breed. I think that's the only thing dittos are good for.

    Ditto has potential to become a good Pokemon, but the fact that it only learns transform hinders it. Honestly, I only use it for breeding.

    Actually. I use Ditto For breeding, and I use Ditto for fun in battling. Although it's not a good choice, it's fun to see how well you can preform with an underpowered copy or your opponents Pokemon.

    I'll be honest that I only use Ditto for breeding, too. And hey, it's a cool concept for a Pocket Monster to have, I'd say.

    I wonder actually how many people play the elite four or any major battles with it. XD!
     
    I've never used a Ditto in competative battling. I've only ever caught one and it was used for breeding on my Silver version. It's still in the daycare centre after all this time, it's probably about Level 99 now haha. But what's the point in paying all that money to get Ditto back when i'm not going to use it for anything but making eggs? :/
     
    Overall, I think Ditto would suck. Also, who knows what kind of sick things people would make it do if Ditto ever happens to make it's way into reality. o.o'

    I only use it for breeding, but then again; breeding isn't really my thing. :|

    this is true... but (on a different note) you could keep it in a jar in the refrigerator! :D always handy if you need, uh, (not toast) to copy something!

    Its actually a fun pokemon to use in-game when you just want to have a little novelty fun.

    Yeah, I only use Ditto for breeding purposes. It's pretty useless in battle. :\
     
    None of the options up there for me. Ditto are good for one thing and one thing only: Seeing what moves your opponent has before 1) catching them or 2) beating the crap out of them with a different Pokémon. Mind, Ditto is not normally a part of my main team and is usually just used for wild battles/captures.​
     
    I only ever use Ditto's for bredding. I have no idea what the IVs for mine are, though, as I got it to help with pokédex completion.
     
    I would only use Ditto for breeding also. For a team in a secret base on my Emerald, one of them has Ditto in the team. I just never changed it well because I can't, the save file with that team is gone since I did do new game, but of course I still have the pokemon. =D

    Now, honestly I mostly use it for breeding, but still I think it's a funny Pokemon, even though I don't use it very often in battle ( it can be fun though)
     
    They're kinda of useless, your a breeder when you can't find the appropriate Pokemon for breeding.

    I actually like to occasionally throw one into a not-so-competitive battle, just for the experience of using something I'm not planning on using. However, since the thread only asks what it's good for, I'd say it's only good for breeding, but even then, it's only useful for breeding at its most basic level, and not for things like egg moves or the like.
