Do I Have To Know Anything About Kingdom Hearts To Play The New Ds Game?

    ya, the gameplay looks awesome, and it would be a great buy for my DSi. Tho, i know nothing about Kingdom Hearts, just...you know...Mickey mouse and a key sword XD so do you think ill need to know anything to buy the game, or will i be totally lost? maybe you guys can fill me in right now about this XD
     
    Yeah, I recommend you get yourself some basic Kingdom Hearts knowledge if you want to truly enjoy 358/2. After all, the whole point of the game is to fill in any leftover plot holes.
     
    Playing it as your entry to the series would be... okay. It's probably the worst in the series for stand-alone plot though. :( I mean, it's still a fun game and if you pick it up, you'll probably like it based on gameplay alone, but to really enjoy it you'd have to have some background knowledge of the series. You can grab that just by reading up on it via wiki but if you can, I would suggest getting into the series in order. If that's not an option and you're just looking for a fun DS game, by all means, go ahead. But it will be pretty confusing. XD;
     
    I'd definitely recommend that you acquainted yourself with COM/ KH2 in order to appreciate the Organization, who are the stars of the game. XD KH1 not so much, because Roxas/ Organization XIII aren't in it, but it's still vital to the overall plot. Perhaps watch some cutscenes on YouTube? o:
     
    Absolutely! Go play some Kingdom hearts 1 and 2 before getting the DS game.

    Since the DS game is pretty much based on organazation IIIX members it would be very confusing and probably unenjoyable for people who havent played the first two.
     
    It's always good to know about the series, but almost never needed.

    If you must know, look it up online. If you want to find out yourself, play the games. You should have enough time before it's released.
