Do pokemon sound brain damaged???

Which Pokemon do that?

(Also, why do you make like 10 posts in every thread?)

One named after their sound: Pikachu...Why? Because it say's Pikachu for it's sound
One named even though their sound is different: Charizard, it goes Roar (lol)

As for the post things contact me VM/PM on that, as it is off-topic. xD

The voice for the charizards in the anime sound the way they do because the japanese voice actor does their voices.

Okay... excluding a few pokemon, why do pokemon just mumble their names over and over? Lol I was thinking about that and it really bugs me. Like 'Pika pik chuuuuuuu!'. I mean im accustomed to it now; but if I would have had the critical thinking skills I do now, back at age 9, I would be like what the hell? And how come they dont say their nicknames if you give them one?

What do you guys think lol?
If you named your dog a nickname, would it still bark?

Sounds* 2 entirely different connotations there pal. I didnt imply that pokemon are stupid or anything like that; I was merely making an observation about something I find funny. Nothing to cry yourself to sleep over.

If you named your dog a nickname, would it still bark?

Yes, but it wouldent say its breed name now would it? Ive never witnessed a dog going around saying 'bulllll doooggg', or whatever the breed name might be.

This thread was inteneded to be good natured and FUN. But judging by the last 2 posts people are getting offended, so maybe it needs a lock:/

Well dogs don't go "Dog, Dog Do Dog" in real life. This is something that's always bugged me about pokemon, why don't they just have cries like in the games?

Pokemon aren't real life :P

It's just supposed to be some cute thing that's unique to Pokemon, even people that don't watch Pokemon know that Pikachu says it's name. It's just too bad that the dub can end up giving some really bad voices to Pokemon. There are a few Japanese Pokemon that have horrible voices, but not so many

Everyone is sort of 'attatched' to some Pokémon, if not most. But if they were to do their cries, would you feel the same way? I wouldn't. For instance, having a creature that can understand you and communicate with you, is much better than having a Pokémon as clueless as a cat.

The Japanese tend to make Pokemon stray from the repeating their names deal. If you notice, most of the Pokemon that don't say their name in the dub either kept their Japanese name or their cry was vague enough to be used for the dub name like Onix roaring out his "iwaa" when his Japanese name is Iwaaku.

Doesn't mean all Pokemon are like that. MukuBird is known for yelling out "Mukuuuu" and Naetle said "naewhoa!".

Each Pokémon's name is like an onomatopoeia for them. That's all I can make out of this thread. It's just their call.
