Do You Enjoy The Special Episodes?

    A simple question that I was really curious about. Do you enjoy the specials that come at the end of an anime season? These are things such as the Iris and Cilian episodes at the end of BW or the upcoming Sycamore and Alexa one in XY, or the upcoming Clemont and Cilian one.

    Do you like seeing the new story and interactions these give? Are they enjoyable to watch? Would you like to see more in future?

    I usually enjoy these episodes as we get some nice stories focused on one specific character which is always great. I wouldn't mind seeing more in each season either. I actually really liked Chronicles when it aired and wouldn't mind seeing specials like that every now and then again. Although I suppose they probably won't go that route again due to it not being popular and because the current anime seasons run back to back.

    They could air one once a week as a special, but they probably wouldn't. So for now we get to see specials focused on travelling companions each season.

    So what are your thoughts on all this?
     
    Yup, they give a good conclusion the stories of these characters. Dang, I wish they did one for Paul...

    A full fledged Mystery Dungeon show/anime would be amazing. Sadly won't happen though probably.

    That would have been pretty interesting. Seeing them for all rivals would be a neat idea to.
     
    I personally love the specials, and when Chronicles aired I hoped it would keep up alongside the regular anime. Sadly, those episodes were from various different shows/events in Japan that were just a thing at the time. I do think they currently could use more specials, even use it as a way to visit old rivals and Ash's travel companions, even minor characters would be nice to see.
     
    I would love more PMD specials, and I adored Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon (I cried when Mirage Mew died)
     
    Yes specials are most of the times better than the normal episodes. I think a special episode in a month or two would be great considering that only an episode is aired in a week. I'm waiting for cilan and clemont special although I wanted to see Brock instead of cilan
