Do you know how to code a Pokemon to evolve through level-up while holding an item in Pokemon FR?

    Lately, I've been wanting to try ROM hacking Pokemon FireRed.

    I want to change trade evolutions to level-up evolutions. However, for Pokemon that evolve through trading while holding an item, I want to make them evolve by leveling up while holding the item.

    But since this type of evolution (level-up while holding an item) doesn't exist in Pokemon FireRed, I'm not sure how to implement it.

    Do you know how to do this?
     
    I suppose asking for help on discord can be a better option. From what i know, nobody has coded something like that. Oh no wait, some engines like Complete fire red upgrade use that method to remove trade based evolutions
