4th Gen Do you think it is possible that you can customize your charcter in this game?

What does the word "Remake" means?
I think, upadting something, keeping almost the same caracteristics, adding only a few improvements from the current generation, if not adding anything.

With in my mind, then no.

Also, Pokemon is ot from those games, since it has a manga and anime. If something like that were to exist, the manga would be a lot random with the characters and names, the same with the anime.

If this was ever implemented I'd rather start with the normal design (Gold and " New Girl") and be able to get new clothes later, instead of buying lame furniture for my bedroom.

I wish they would, I'm sick of playing as a white girl (no offense) and this GS remake's female looks horrible, I hate Brown Hair.

I don't think you offended anyone.

I doubt that will happen, but it would be great!
I have often thought that it would be nice if they
made a few girl/boy characters and let you pick
which one you want.

I've seen some hacks with that ability, so I thought Nintendo might do that soon.

Although, a little bit down the road they might add that. It'd be awesome to play as Brendan, Red, or even Gold in the 5th Generation games instead of everyone being the new 5th generation character.

Yeah it would be great to play as Red somewhere besides Kanto.

That would be cool buying clothes and furniture.

Spoiler:

custom character is to much and is not worth it

as cool as that would be, i dont think that itm is likely to happen in the near future of handheld pkmn games

No. Your character is never exactly the focus in Pokemon. Yes; you do play quite a big role, but it's mainly the Pokemon that get the screen time. Besides, I don't think customization would have such a big effect on the little avatar walking around on the map... xDDD

I think I'd actually like this better too. It won't take up as much memory off the games and it'll definitely be a lot simplier I would presume than having many different combinations of things to customize with.

It would be a very neat addition, but as stated, it would be very unlikely. D:

I'd at least give my character long hair and some sunglasses or something and a hat. He'd look awesome.

Like this sprite I found on Google?

(minus the hat XD)

Seeing that makes me think I can wait for the feature of customization. As good as it may sound, I just think it'll be too much. I really prefer the set of having an already made character for us. It keeps things simple, clean, and less overwhelming too. It'll also leave room for improvements and give future games more of something else to add in that might give the game better use for players.

It is just the sprite, I don't know exactly, but now I think there will just be too much of a variety in the game when it comes to characters when right now there was never much of a problem with it.

I'd agree with this, as I never did like the furniture part.

It would be a nice addition, but I don't think it will happen...
They did this on the Wii with Pokemon Battle Revolution.
Which wasn't very good in my opinion.

It might be nice if you could choose from a small handful of outfits and apply different colourations to them.

This is the most we can expect, and it would probably only be used when in the Battle Tower or Wi-fi battles. The whole, "Oh look! I'm battling myself!" thing looks kind of stupid.

I like the idea of being able to customize my character, but it probably won't happen for these games. But it might in another generation... But that's a pretty big might...

most custimization i'd like would be a choice between Soul and Kris so the fandom will STFU already D;

outfits would be nice,ONE WORD: pants
what do heroines have against pants?

I don't know, but I guess they think they should wear skirts and short-shorts.

ILU. :'D

I think simple things like glasses would be hawt... Because chances are that the leads will never, ever have glasses, and I kind of want to see it. =/

I don't think so. I think that's going to be one of those features that fans always ask for in main games but that never happens, especially because it'd probably take up quite a bit of memory. Plus it doesn't even matter that much... so what if the character looks nothing like you?

I have to agree. Plus, it isn't like people will even dress their characters to look like them sometimes anyway. Having this feature will be pretty nice, but it can also arise in complaints such as: "With this feature, there are less things to do in teh game, because they wasted all that memory," or "They accessories and clothing they offered were all horrible, none of this is in my taste." It's jsut another complication to go through when we can simply go to choosing a set and designed character for us to play as. It also opens up oppotunities for the anime, because if we could simply design our own leads, and they not setting one up for us, then who will play the thrid party character with Ash and Co. It'll definitely rise in complaints and some things may come in an unexpected way. I say, this feature is great, but isn't desperately needed, seeing as how people have lived without it for so long.
