4th Gen Do you think it is possible that you can customize your charcter in this game?

Yeah, that's very true. If it was implemented, there would always be *some* other accessory/clothing option that people wanted and there'd be even more complaints that WHY CAN'T I MAKE A GUY WEARING HIGH HEELS or WHY CAN'T I GIVE MY GIRL A MULLET etc. So it'd probably be just easier to make everyone have two character choices.
 
Haha... I just realized that a lot of fans for other games want customizable characters, too. xDDD It must be one of those things that's wanted in every game.

But I agree with the above two posters. It could complicate other things... such as the anime, and it could possibly take up space that could be used for other features that could prove to be more important.

Your characters' design, to me, is pretty trivial. It would be cool to have glasses or such as small features, but I don't see it happening. Like I said before, the Pokemon are the main focus of the game, not your character.

Exactly, the game is all about the Pokémon and not the character's design overall. If they choose to add it in, then so be it. However, presetting the characters for us only saves them time, and just adds in new things not only for the game but for the anime as well. It isn't like an absolutely needed feature, and I think choosing a type of character to go through Wi-Fi and Wireless Link-ups is as far as they really need to go. This feature has been wanted for years now, and I wouldn't doubt the idea for the handheld Pokémon games hasn't been discussed before. Seeing they allowed character customization for the Wii, it could even be pointed that they've thought about it for sure. Though, there are just other things that is more important for the game than customization at the moment.

Of course it is for the Wii, and I'm sure Nintendo has been thinking about it for a while.
