Haha. That has a chance of very close to impossible. I almost never share any problems with my parents. The only problems I've ever shared are problems with formatting my hard drive or a mixed circuit on the motherboard.

And since my mom tends to be busy and my dad is away from home 90% of the time its not like a "friendship" could come out anyways.

Sure, I don't see why not. A parent has to at least slightly bond with their child, so some bonds may be stronger than others. I would guess it would be better if the child was at a younger age to grow a "friendship" with whichever parent it may be. I know with my parents we wearn't exactly close at first, but now we are like the best of friends.

Seeing as my mother is one of my best friends, I'm going to say yes. My dad is too, really, but my mom and I just click.

Yes, my mum is my best friend although we quarrel sometimes. :X

Obviously, yes. There's got to be more of a connection that just parential love. I connect with my dad really, really well. We have the same sense of humour, we both like a lot of the same stuff and we're both have the same view (more often than not) on a topic.

Oh yes, parents and children can be friends. My mother is my best friend. And so are my grandparents who raised me. Those three are the three people that I simply could not live without. But they have to do what's right for you, even if it means stopping you from doing things you consider fun.

You would do that for your own friends if you could, right? I would never let a good friend of mine walk into something that could hurt her very badly or emotionally if I could help it.
