So, what do you guys think? Fyi, I'm talking about the main franchise games, not the spinoff ones
Reasons why they might;
Reason why they won't,
I honestly see more Pros in releasing old titles in the eShop than I do with cons. But the major con will always be that it does take a lot of effort to do backwards compatibility.
I would really really love to see G/S/C on the eShop, if they announce it, I would probably cry lol
Reasons why they might;
- For competition, game consoles everywhere are now trying to enable backwards compatibility to their consoles, Pokemon being one of the more popular titles, it would make sense that Nintendo would want to release their old games
- So newer fans can have a chance to play older titles
- So older fans can have a chance to replay the older titles if they no longer have their old handheld/old cartigates
- Finding old games is hard since a lot of gaming stores only carry DS and 3DS games
Reason why they won't,
- It's a lot of work adding backwards compatibility.
- It may be only for celebration of the 20th anniversary
