Im sure everyone here agrees that using a hacking device to give a pokemon unfair stats or moves they cant learn just shows that your just a cheater who sucks. But, I believe that as long as your pokemon havent been altered to give them an unfair advantage in a battle, hacking isnt bad. I say hacking to duplicate items, or make an egg hatch faster, and other things like that are not cheating because you arent hacking your actual pokemon to win against other human opponents. So I think hacking pokemon's stats and moves is bad, but otherwise its acceptable. I just wanted to say this because some people are very negative towards hacking even though sometimes its not really cheating.

There are always two sides of the story, as long as the hacks aren't directed to make pokemon way overpowered I guess I'm okay with it. Like using an AR to get a pokemon you want badly, I'm not angered by that. It all depends, you know?

No, no, of course it's cheating.
You didn't /actually/ have two of that item, did you?
And some people have obtained their Pokemon fairly, why can't you?

Of course, it's all up to the hacker and the person they're battling to decide. While it may not make any real difference whether or not one person got a Shiny Steelix fairly and the other didn't, it's understanding between the battlers that makes "hacking" acceptable or not.

I agree with you, but some people... Likes to cheat in a bad way... Like: Making a Wondertomb(a Spiritomb with Wonder Guard ability)... I couldn't accept these things...

I think hacking event items last gen is ok if you really want to migrate them and their technically legit since the were once given out at a time(e.g. lugia/ho-oh)
I wish there was a reple cheat that once turned on wil pokemoncan't bother you I'd save so much money from repels lol

I hack but I never alter Pokemons' stats, moves, abillities, etc. I use cheats like Walk through Walls and others like those that I believe are okay to use.

You could use the Walk Through Walls AR to walk around the grass or to take shortcuts.

    Ugh.
I really don't like seeing things like a Shiny Milotic with Pokerus.
But no one will arrest you if you use it for things like that.
But some people wont want to battle or be seen with you. ^_^
Kidding, of course. Well, kind of.
I have an Action Replay, but I only use it to change my name and stuff.

I say only enough to get you through the game, or to get the pokemon you really want.

CHEATING IS CHEATING. IT DOESN'T CHANGE A THING. Anything that requires the use of a CHEATING DEVICE to enhance the game play is cheating. Game is supposed to be played how it is meant to be. Not messing with it's codes to alter the difference. CHEATING IS FOR LOSERS and WILL always be.

ALSO this thread has ABSOLUTLY nothing to do with D/P/P.

I don't know what it's like to hack I have to do everything the hard way I clone using the GTS which take's forever but anyways I think that takes away all the fun of the game to use AR because you are not earning anything I meen I could walk through walls and get my self a nice Darkrai and Shaymin or Just use a code so I have every event. I think its more worth it to go to event's or trade online because I think it give's you a better sense of accomplishment when you know that you completed your pokedex and you don't have any hack's or pokemon that you shouldn't be able to capture like arcues or shaymin(flower paradise not movie)

Uwww, someone is RAGING!!!! wanna talk about it?

i personally dont mind people hacking for items TMs and pokeballs. As this dosent really change the game, I myself clone masterballs and rare candies so that i can catch shiny when i manage to chain them and then evolve them without effecting the EVs

HOW DO YOU CHEAT ...........I DON'T GET YOU PEOPLE... SOMEONE SAID HE CAN WALK THROUGH WALLS IS THAT POSSIBLE? -_-?

when you use cheats to walk through walls, get all tms, i think it's ok.

but when you overhack a pokemon (example: 500 attack on a heracross when it's max attack is 383) and send it on competitve play is when it SEVERLY crosses the line lol. illegal movesets also.

if you're going to do it, make the stats legal and hush hush about it since no one will know.
