    I wanna try to get to event pokemon at my house like I can for Animal Crossing.

    You have to drive to Gamestop to get the event. They have an actual Card that is loaded into a DS that is always turned on for Download. Its not a Wifi Download and you can't get it any other way than going to Gamestop.
     
    Answered, so closed. Please check what section you are in as well - your question relates to the 5th generation games, not the X&Y ones. And said section has a Help thread to use for questions too.
