3rd Gen Does anyone know this about the berry glitch in R/S?

    One day about 3 years ago on my (first) ruby game i was playing it and i realized the berry glitch had happened 1 year before.
    the weird looking NPC at mauville was the trader and he wouldn't trade with me due to the glitch before, but i went there to try again and he wanted to so i thought WTH?
    Then i checked on the oran berry i had planted the month before, it had grown!
    anyway my 8 year old cousin chucked the game outside 2 days later so i could not do much more research
    Does anyone know what happened?
    my guess is that the berry glitch fixed itself after 1 year
    am i right?

    If I remember right...

    Connecting your game to either -
    Pokémon Colosseum
    Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness
    Pokémon Channel
    Pokémon Fire Red/Leaf Green/Emerald
    Or a patched copy of R/S

    Fixed the Berry glitch in the games.
    If it wasn't all of those, then it was some..

    That's probably what happened :]
