I don't mean shiny odds, just increasing the chance of encountering the same Pokemon again. I've googled it but everyone seems to only talk about shiny odds. (Even though that is why I want higher encounter odds lol)

    No, I don't believe so.
If the pokemon you want is a Fire, Water, Grass, Electric or Steel type, you could put a pokemon with a special ability in the front to increase encounters. Specifically, Flash Fire, Storm Drain, Harvest, Static/Lightning Rod and Magnet Pull respectively.
Also, if you check the pokedex, it'll say something like "Check out these pokemon", and those pokemon will appear more frequently, by about 10% I think. I'm not sure how to change the pokemon though.

Hmm, too bad. Thanks for the other information though, it's very useful! I was trying to increase Toxel odds but found a shiny in 44 encounters, right after posting this lol. I'm tempted to find another for its second form, though.. But I'd like to use Synchronize so I couldn't utilize those special abilities anyway. Bummer. Still useful for other encounters though, so thanks! :)
