Hippowdon base stat total: 525
Dugtrio base stat total: 405

Therefore,
Hippowdon = Dugtrio+120.
And
Hippowdon-120 = Dugtrio.

Simple math.

So now you're saying that any Pokemon that aren't 'strong' in your book can be beaten like that? If I remember I managed to beat Wallace with Pokemon who were several levels below his, and half probably aren't in our "strong" book.

What about a Lv. 30 Raticate against a Lv. 30 Snorlax?

Fast Pokemon and type advantage my butt when it came to Wallace. I started with Torchic, and the only Electric Pokemon I had was Girafarig with Thunderbolt. >_> (this was in Emerald, BTW. Not Ruby/Sapphire).

Besides, anyone can have revives and potions.

Wailord, Level 57 (Water) SPD 111-129
Ludicolo, Level 56 (Water/Grass) SPD 118-136
Gyrados, Level 56 (Water/Flying) SPD 131-148
Tentacruel, Level 55 (Water/Poison) SPD 149-166
Whiscash, Level 56 (Water/Ground) SPD 107-124
Milotic, Level 58 (Water) SPD 135-153

The ones that most likely had higher SPD were Milotic (Good Job), Tentacruel (Weak), Whiscash (Good Job), and Gyarados (4X weakened)

Others may have too. I have reasons for those too.

I don't doubt your abilities as a trainer. I doubt your judgement.

Raticate: Crunch, Hyper Fang, Focus Energy, Quick Attack. 96 HP

I has Vileplume for Wishcash. Milotic was a freakin' whop of a pain, though.

I think I have good judgement; you never answered my Raticate/Snorlax question.

Eh. Doesn't really matter. Sometimes things can happen; my Raticate on FireRed won pretty easily against a Snorlax. Plus the fact that it's Adamant nature helped.

So, I would say it all depends on how to raise the Pokemon. Sure, there are ones being listed as uber, but if you think about it, most Pokemon can be pretty decent in game.

It had no TMs. It's moveset at the time was Hyper Fang, Focus Energy, Quick Attack, and Pursuit.

I select the ones that would give me a balanced team, really.
