And then during the Emerald arc they unpetrify, only to find that the fact that the blunt of the force that Red took, along with all his other injuries, was too much for him and had died in the process.

I think, if anything, that characters I'll keep in the RP are the AU legendaries, Dia and Pearl, Emerald, Genderbent!Yellow, Haruka, Mist and Bahamut (Reshiram and Zekrom), Yuki and Rocky (BW heroes), Rocket!Special!Red, Cail, and psycho!Dawn.
