1. ok... im thinking bright and cheery. the image im using is sorta peppy, so... hmm. by C4D, you mean just find a pic of one? make one? sorry i need spoon-feeding... as for brushes, i have all the ones that come with GIMP, bubbles, glows, chinese dragons, lots of glitter and sparkles, and lightning, oh, and lotus brushes if i restart GIMP

2. C4Ds are abstract images that can be used to enhance a banner through various modes of manipulation. There are other uses, but we don't care about those. An example would be this. See the background in my banner? It took two steps for me to turn a c4d into that. Of course, when you're more advanced, you're encouraged to be more creative than that.

i only know about depth the other stuff escapes me

i do like to play around with gradient maps and stuff i also like using clipping masks and C4D's in my tags

Use color effects to give it more noticeable highlights; surround it with blurred C4D under another layer to give it depth. (=3=)b
