Nah, it wasn't. You can make outer glows in GIMP, but it's a tedious process. However, the download link I suggested (which Natsu didn't have prior to my linking it) installs a plug-in which will automatically create an outer-glow.

Yes, do use textless it always looks good, because text can screw it up if it's not done well. And I don't see how the spaceships are easy, I just got there again and it's so annoying. :|
