And I noticed that Tales of has a very similar battle style to Star Ocean.

Tactics, controlling characters through movement and stuff to attack, skills (amongst them cooking, although in Tales of (at least Symphonia) it doesn't seem like you need to acquire such skills), arts/spells (although you can only have two equipped at the time, dunno if the NPCs/the characters you aren't playing as at the time can use all they have), not to mention eight slots in the party, four being Reserve characters.

Idk.

I love the game so far though (b' ')b

End it in a cliffhanger.

I tend to cry when there's a big cliffhanger at the end XD

And interestingly enough, Tales predated Star Ocean by about a year (Phantasia coming out in 1995 with Star Ocean out in 1996).

End it on a surprising note, then? Just like in that one mature manga Jordan and I read that's name you can find in the Japanese Entertainment section.

I've been trying to name things without them being references to anime/video game characters or anything ._.

So far, I'm somewhat successful, with some exceptions.

In my Pearl, only things/people that have references to anything are Lucy (Cherrim; if you don't know which Lucy I'm thinking of then it's sad), Reina (Crobat; name is the name of one of the Oración Seis in Rave), Fia (Misdreavus; name is the name of one of the heroines in Riviera), and Luneth (Rival; name is the name of the main character in the FFIII remake).

OK, so half my team COULD'VE had more creative names. The other half consists of Claire (Infernape), Sierra (Bastiodon; I'll admit this is somewhat uncreative because I was thinking of Cierra from Riviera), and Myrrh (Skorupi).

By the way, you've been continuing with 10 chapters a day for Fairy Tail, right Tara?

Jin (Luxray) - Reference to kamichama Karin
Colette (Clefable) - Reference to Tales of Symphonia
Tiny (Torterra) - this one was for the lulz. xD
Red ( Espeon) - ... I think we all know where this one came from. :B
Ruby (Milotic) - This one too. xD
Inspector (Honchkrow) - This one looks like it isn't a reference to anything, but it came from Inspector Megure of Detective Conan, cause he always wears a hat. :U

So... all but Tiny. XD; Whoopsies~

I've been meaning to continue it, but I haven't gotten much of a chance to. ;^; I'll prolly play catch-up this week and read as much as I can in one day.

I need to go back and find my HG team (once again) to see what's what.

I can remember Corona being Typhlosion (and if you WANT to think that's a reference to something, then think of Corona from Spider Riders :>).

And that's it. I recall Umbreon, Lapras (Tara), Crobat, Espeon(?), and something else on my team, but... XD

I know my Future!SoulSilver team, mainly because it's pretty much my old Silver team but with an eventual Houndoom instead of a Magmar. Contemplating on weather to actually call my Houndoom 'Conan', or something else.

Me Belossom will be 'Lucia' though. |D

And my sister's team is a mix of Gold and Green's + Vileplume. And it's balanced to. XD; -finds it amusing, since she spent five seconds thinking of it-

I make my teams up of Pokemon I like, usually. Though half my LeafGreen team is based on Blue's team, and one Pokemon is on Green's team. The other two (if I recall correctly) are additional.

Blastoise, Clefable, Nidorina (will evolve once she learns Crunch), Ninetales, Jolteon, and Kabutops.

It's rare I have a team without a Flying type :X

4/6 of your Leaf Green team is my Blue team. xD

My Blue team has Blastoise, Clefable, Jolteon, Ninetales, Victreebel, and Pidgeot.

Yeah. My Silver team isn't going to have a Flying pokemon either. :U My team will have five pokemon, and a HM slave keeping the sixth spot warm. It'll prolly be my first team that won't have a Flying Pokemon at all (original Silver had Pidgeot in the beginning).

And the only one you can get a reference out of on there is Kanon, either for the series or the character in Umineko.

What does Denryuu mean, just out of curiosity? XD

I need to remember what Gardia means, since I'm fairly sure I looked up a word's etymology and got that from it. Or maybe it was a virus or something. I don't remember.

Weird, considering how (to me at least), Ampharos doesn't look like a Dragon (plus it doesn't have the type), and "ryuu" means dragon XD

Although according to Bulbapedia, it's "Electric Current" or "Electric Dragon" in Japanese. I guess it's all how you place the symbols together or something.

/needs to go jot down that Denryuu means "Electric Dragon"
