She is actually only about 22 in that final picture. The stressful life of those trying to make it in the art world aged her.

Space Dandy was less crap than I thought it was going to be. Dub was pretty good as well, well, everything but the autotuned robot. Should have just done it like the Tachikoma in Stand Alone Complex.

Thought the commie one was only half of the episode from the per-release. I'll probably watch both dubbed and subbed for the first episode, gotta pick the best one. I expect the Dub will have a funnier script though.

I suppose it did.
The comedy in this first episode not doing the job for me probably didn't help with my overall view on it.

Now, apparently the writers have tweeted that the English script screws up the plot/characters, and the dub version cuts the OP/ED, which I've noticed are actually good.

So much for watching the Toonami version.

That's unfortunate, the English version has some notable VAs. Oh well, might just watch 'em both. Or neither.

I remember back when Toonami was weekly, they'd only play the ending themes and they had their own short intros for them (which, to be fair, were catchy). I don't blame Toonami, though. The head of Cartoon Network hates anime (I think he's said it himself), so Toonami is basically exploitive, though the guys who run Toonami are definitely trying to do whatever they can. It's pretty unfortunate.

Well I think it's Eastern Animation that he hates specifically. He's probably the type of person who thinks that anime is a poison to the industry. That's why Toonami died in the first place and was moved from Weekly before that.

Cartoon Network, ladies and gentlemen.
