I pulled the plug on my computer and nothing happened, but that doesnt mean that anyone should do that to shut the computer off.

I can do that and it shouldn't damage it (even through NTFS is designed to cope with this situation, that doesn't mean you should try it!) however it can do alot of damage to your computer.

Meh. I prefer not to user Windows XP. or did I decide to use Virtual PC for long term use. I decided to just work on my Mac. Not for everything though...
I turned Hard Drive Journaling on (although it should be on if you get Mac OS X Panther).
Surprise such feature exists in Mac OS X Jaguar...
I won't stand data loss.

NTFS was designed with that feature built in. All Windows NT based PCs (E.g. 2000, XP) that run NTFS instead of FAT32 have it.

My old one never could either. x_x;

Shingo, that sounds like overkill for a personal computer.

It's not really overkill. Who said it was personal? I have 120GB on my computer. The 2.8TB is shared over a network, hence the acronym NAS- Network Attached Storage.

Out of curiousity, when did Iomega start making 2.8TB NAS solutions? Last check their max was 2TB. Also, didn't you mention in another thread that you have 1.4GB NAS?
