Chapter 1: Part one... A rude awakening.

The loud relentless beeping that echoed from Dusties alarm clock cut into his unconciousness forcing him to awake and smash it against the wall. He dragged his feet against the smooth stone floors making his way towards the fridge he had installed into the pollished stone wall. He pulled out a hot pocket that let of a chilling vapor as he removed it from the farthest regions of the freezer. He yawned tossing a pokeball to the ground. From the ball came a flamming behemoth roughly 6 feet in height.

" Hey Tank, be a bud and heat the up for me would you." Dusty said handing the towering flaming figure. The pokemon held the hot pocket with one hand and with the other shot several short bursts of flame. Meanwhile, when the pokemon was heating his breakfast, Dusty grabbed s bottle of water from the fridge.

"Thanks bud, I owe you one alright?" Dusty said taking the hot pocket back and placing it in his pocket for later consumption along with his bottled water. The pokemon smiled and replied with a grunt, " Mag" as Dusty returned him into his pokeball.

Dusty tossed on his overshirt and shades while sliding out the doorway that lead to the desert. He tossed a second, different pokeball to the ground and said, " Morning Steele, think you could take me too Lilycove?" The pokemon gave a screech and nodded as Dusty crawled onto his back. As the wind rushed through his hair shaking sand loose from the roots of his hair he ate is hot pocket and finished off the last of his water dropping the water bottle.

It was only about a half an hour before Dusty had set his feet back down on the ground in Lilycove. He pressed the button in the center of his pokeball returning his pokemon and then head out for the nearest pokemart.

He walked in and picked up a chocolate bar and a copy of "Hoenn Today" dropping a couple of coins in front of the sales clerk. He walked out and realized that that was the last of his earnings. He began reading article about a Wailmer and a Skitty falling in love and having a baby and midstride was inturrupted by a young boy with a blue backwards cap.

" Hey! You're that Dusty guy who got second place in last years Hoenn League right?" The boy said excitedly. Dusty lowered his glases for a second and then pulled them up saying " Yeah sure kid why not." The boy let a wide grin cover his face and said, " I'm Willis by the way." And tossed his pokeball out onto the stone path. Out of the ball came a white and green giant that proclaimed, " AMBOSSSS!"

Dusty was surprized, he hadn't seen an Ambosnow in a long time and weas even more surprized a trainer his age was able to catch a pokemon that strong but he went with it. As a giant blizzard began brewing around the frosted tree pokemon Dusty threw out the pokeball containing his most prized pokemon. " Go Fist!" He yelled with excitement.

The four armed pokemon exclaimed, " MACHAMP!" As it cracked its knuckles and streched. The blizzard really began too whip up and soon enough Dusty could barely see three feet in front of him. From behind the hail storm Dusty heard, " Snowy, use your wood hammer attack!" Vines brought together in the form of a giant mallet came from the icy storm and smashed Fist across the face.

Fist pulled himself up from the ground wiping his face clear of the blood on his lip." Show him what your made of Fist, use your Double team then use your fire punch!" About 50 copies of Fist appears in a circullar patter around Snowy and as they all began closing in on him he tried taking Fist out to no avail, he wiped about 30 clones out before the fire punch connected and knocked the pokemon square on its back.

" Now use your dynamic punch attack!" Dusty yelled from behind the hailstorm. His pokemon extended all four arms one after another at the ice type pokemon one after the other hitting it in the face in succession.

" Use your ingrain attack Snowy!" The boy yelled. " Finish it with a fire punch Fist!" Dusty yelled in response to the boys pleades to his pokemon. One of the four Fists attached to the machamps body started blazing and struck Snowy in the head knocking him out entirely.

"Darnit, Snowy return!" The boy pouted. " That was my best pokemon and you beat him liek he was nothing, there's no point in using a different pokemon..." Dusty frowned and returned machamp back into his ball. " Don't worry kid, you're a pretty good trainer for someone your age, maybe if you keep training you might be able to beat even me one day.." He said trying to put on a fake smile.

"Really?" The boys eyes lit up, " Wow thanks Dusty! Maybe we can have another battle sometime!" The boy said as he happily skipped away. " Dusty took a few steps towards the nearest pokemon center and chuckled saying, " He's never gunna be able to beat me...."

Chapter 1.1 - Crushing Defeat

"Sneasel use Ice Beam one more time!!" Yelled Ace, his Sneasel shot out a blue beam of energy towards the Charizard it was facing, the Charizard used a Flamethrower to cancel out the attack. "Charizrd use Flamethrower!" Ash yelled, the flames engulfed Sneasel. After the flames died down Sneasel was out cold. "Return Sneasel," Ace said pointing the pokeball at his fallen pokemon. "Go Squirtle!" A small blue turtle popped out of the pokeball Ace had just thrown. "Return Charizard!" Ash then selected a different pokeball off his belt and threw it. "Bulbasaur!" The small green dinosaur cried. "OK Squirtle use Skull Bash!" The turtle charged at Bulbasaur, the dinosaur jumped out of the way. "Ok Bulbasaur use Solarbeam!!!" It was a sunny day outside which made Solarbeam charge up much more quickly and it had more power, "Bulb!!!" Cried Bulbasaur as it launched the beam of concetrated sunlight staright at Squirtle and before Ace could tell it what to do the beam hit sending the little turtle flying. "Return Squirtle," said a disappointed Ace. "Come back Bulbasaur," Ash put the little dinosaur back in it's pokeball. Ash walked over and put a comforting hand on Ace's shoulder and said, "don't worry Ace you will beat me one of these days!" Ace just shook his head and said, "dad you're too strong I can't beat you..."Will you two boys stop messing around and come in here for some lunch!" Yelled a frustrated Misty from the door, "we have company by the way, so clean up before coming into the dining room." She said in a matter of fact tone. "Wait who is it?!?!" Ash begged impatiently, "go wash up and you will see!" Misty said to him with a wink.

Chapter 1.1: 3 on 3 Challenge of Terror! Grant's secret Pokemon!

It was a tournament match...nothing new for Sam. He had been in a thousand of these...nothing new. 3 on 3, him versus Grant. Still nothing new. "Okay! Feraligatr, use Ice Punch!" Grant said. His Feraligatr charged at Sceptile. "Same old strategy, same old counter. Jump it!" Sam said. Sceptile jumped over Feraligatr and landed behind it. "And now...as usual, Leaf Blade." Sam said. Sceptile hit Feraligatr in the stomach, and then the throat with Leaf Blade. "Heh. You're using the same thing...but I'm not! Knock it off with Aqua Tail, then use Dragon Dance!" Grant said. His Feraligatr knocked Sceptile backwards. Sceptile took a second to recover from this, as it was a real pain to be hit by such an attack. Torrent had obviously taken effect, and hit Sceptile with 1.5 times the normal force of that move, which still had fair power due to Feraligatr's huge strength. In this second, Dragon Dance had been preformed and Grant had given the command for another Ice Punch attack. This one hit, knocking Sceptile over, to be hit a couple other times. "Shoot. Well...no choice here. Use Leaf Blade on its legs." Sam said. Sceptile hit the legs and Feraligatr was instantly knocked to the ground. "Now finish it! Frenzy Plant!" Sam said. Feraligatr was done. The vines Sceptile kicked up covered it and it went down. "Shoot...return. Go Charizard!" Grant said, returning one pokemon just to send out another.

"Fire Blast!" Grant said. Sceptile was in no condition to dodge, due to the wait needed to recharge after that attack. It was quickly defeated by the huge power of the attack. "Well...good work, Sceptile. Go! Jolteon!" Sam said, throwing out his second pokemon. None of his pokemon were pushovers, and he had picked the perfect team for this match. He had picked 3 pokemon that were perfect. The pokemon they intended to use had to be given ahead of time. Well, all but one of them. The privacy was the only advantage they got in this. No switches, except for that one. They could switch that, only because of the fact that it was unknown. It was always an advantage to have this. Sam's private pokemon this time was his Typhlosion, which was his next pokemon. Grant knew he had it, but not that he was going to use it this match. Typhlsion had several different types of moves, making it a huge threat to Grant's team. Still, Casey knew Grant's last pokemon, and said Typhlosion might not cut it. Still...he had to focus on the current match. "Go! Rain Dance!" Sam said. This was one of the two combo attacks Jolteon knew, the other being a healing combo. "Dang it...you used this combo...I should have remembered you were going to use Jolteon...but whatever! Earthquake!" Grant said. Sam was shocked at this new move. Grant had been doing a lot of training. Sam hadn't expected this much, though. "Grr...there's only one way. Jolteon! Charge and hit the opponent!" Sam said. Jolteon charged and hit Charizard in the stomach, grabbing on with its teeth. "Now...this rain should help. Hit it with thunder!" Sam yelled. Jolteon released its only attack, Thunder on Charizard. At this point blank range, there was no way Charizard would survive. He fell to the ground, using only one attack before it, Sunny Day, so Sam couldn't get an easy hit. "Hmm...you're the same as before, relying on basic combos. Go! TORTERRA!" Grant yelled. "Shoot!" Sam screamed. Torterra...it was a pokemon from the Sinnoh region, a place Sam had never been to. "Use Earthquake!" Grant yelled. His pokemon released a huge quake, much more so than Charizard. Sam knew why.

Torterra was a ground and grass type pokemon. Earthquake was much more dangerous when it came from him. Jolteon wouldn't last long. "Use Wish!" Sam yelled. Jolteon released a star from his body. This star flew up into the sky. Jolteon was quickly defeated by this attack, falling to the ground. "Good work. Return, go Typhlosion!" Sam said. He had sent out his last pokemon. The sun would help Sam, hopefully..."Ha! Use Earthquake again!" Grant yelled. Sam knew he could stop it with Typhlosion. "Focus Blast on the ground in front of you!" Sam said. The move was perfect. It hit the ground just right to stop the shot of Earthquake. "Now charge and use Flame Wheel!" Sam said. Typhlosion charged and hit the ground rolling. The attack, Flame Wheel was high powered when in the sun. Typhlosion charged, hitting Torterra once. It went up to get ready for the combo it knew Sam had in mind, when it was hit by a bunch of rocks, causing it to hit the ground. "What was that?" Sam asked. "Ha. That was Stone Edge, one of Torterra's best attacks. Here's another. Solarbeam!" Grant said. Torterra fired a beam as Sam realized the point of putting up the sun. To speed up that attack. Sam had one trump card left, and he had to play his cards perfectly if it was to work. "Get ready! Charge with your own Solarbeam!" Sam said. Typhlosion shot a beam similar to Torterra's at Torterra, who backed up. That's when all heck broke loose. The wish returned and healed Typhlosion. First, however, Sam made the final command. "Blast Burn!" Sam yelled. Typhlosion shot huge flames at Torterra, enveloping it. Torterra hit the ground and was knocked out. As usual, Sam had won their match.

Chapter One, Part One of Two: Enter Zora! Her Battle Style is Quite Unique~

A faint light. And then a bright sparkle. More sparkles, and then nothing. Lights. Many lights. Appearing to shine on one point in the ground. Then darkness. Then the same lights, at the same place. A human. Staring into space, she waves to an invisible nothingness. Then, more lights in the space outside of her own, leaving a circle of darkness around her one bit of light. A crowd. Shouting, screaming, booing. And then nothing. At last....

The dim rays of the sun shone on the girl's somewhat tanned face. Ever so slowly did she open her eyes and look out the window. It was the dawn of the next day. Right.... I crashed right after that party.... she thought. Yawning, the girl sat up on her bed, blankets still on top of her. She peered over to the space beside her. There lay a guy. I have got to be dreaming.... She pinched herself in the arm. Nope. This is reality.... Turning to the guy, she sighed.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" she asked him. The guy carefully opened his eyes, and looked at the girl.

"What are ya talking about, baby? I live here, remember?" His words were a bit slurred.

"But...." A sudden recollection of the previous night. Right.... He LET me stay here. But from what I recalled, I preferred to sleep alone. I didn't get drunk or anything....

"Come on, Zora, you know you like me," the guy responded, flashing a very yellow smile. Zora cringed and backed away. "Zora, babe, don't leave me!" But it was too late. Zora was out the door, ready to leave this eternal nightmare. Why does he have to be such a lady's man? Why can't he be a regular idiot like any other man? she asked herself as she ran far away from his place.

It had been a while since Zora had battled, particularly due to her partying every single hour of the day, and gambling at the Game Corners in her free time. She never had time for battling, at this rate. But, nonetheless, her stomach ached for a battle, and she knew she had to go against someone soon. Just then, her thoughts were interrupted by the sudden pitter-patter of steps behind her.

"There she is, bro!"

"Dude, you're gonna pay for walking out on my brother like that!" Turning around, Zora saw the one boy's older brother, someone very buff and thick-headed in many ways. Seeing how she couldn't back down from whatever challenge he might throw at her, she smiled.

"So, two-on-two, then?" she asked, taking out two Pokeballs.

"You're on!" With that, he threw two Pokeballs up in the air. A Quagsire and Magmortar came out. Sighing, Zora threw her two Pokeballs. Out came Serene, the Glaceon, and Bane, the Arcanine. The buff brother couldn't help but chortle.

"Hah, you call yourself a trainer? Quagsire, Earthquake. Magmortar, Protect!" The Magmortar surrounded itself in a green sphere, and at once the Quagsire leaped high into the air and landed on the ground with such force that it started shaking. As the two Pokemon struggled to stay up on their feet, the guy laughed some more.

"Ah, the sun sure is bright out today, isn't it?" Zora asked. The guy looked at her in confusion.

"Excuse me?"

"Bright enough to act as Sunny Day, huh?" Nodding her head, Zora turned to her Arcanine, who was still able to fight. "Bane, SolarBeam on Quagsire." The Arcanine nodded, and turned to the surprised Quagsire. Before the buff brother could recall his Pokemon, Bane unleashed an earthshaking roar, and at once a glimmer came from beyond the stars. No sooner did that glimmer disappear when a burst of light shot down, hitting the Quagsire directly. Falling back, the Quagsire was knocked unconscious.

"And now, for the grand finale," Zora said, her voice calm. "Bane, Rain Dance." Another earthshaking roar, this time shorter and more subtle, and clouds covered the sky. Rain began pouring down within seconds, and Zora smiled.

"Water.... Pulse!" The Glaceon knew that Zora meant for her to attack, and so she opened her mouth. The buff brother seemed to expect a blast as large as the SolarBeam, but instead, the water Serene let out was small, about the size of a regular Water Gun. As it hit the Magmortar, white circular rings began surrounding it and began disappearing as if following the pulse of the large fiery Pokemon. As soon as her attack ended, the Glaceon watched as the Magmortar spun around, obviously suffering from confusion. A few more steps, and it fell down on its belly. Yet again did Zora win the match.

Angered by her easy win, the brothers stormed off, dragging their Pokemon with them. Zora smiled. Too easy. Even the gym leaders and Elite Four members got annoyed whenever I acted completely calm and modest. Goes to show how pathetic these trainers can be. It seemed to be very true. Whenever Zora was calm in battle (which was all the time, for that matter), her opponents would always get frustrated with her and would then stop thinking straight. This usually caused them to lose control of their Pokemon, and lose the match. Quite a unique strategy, but at the same time, it wasn't really that hard to execute. With a small sigh, Zora was out of sight from the battlefield. It was most likely she was going to a Game Corner, but then again, at this point, who knows?

(When I said Rukario, I meant Riolu...I always do that, sorry for the confusion! So, can I use Scyther and Riolu?)

1.1 - Ferocious: Exibiting extreme fierceness and unrestrained violence and brutality.

She was walking slowly, boredly, kicking a rock as she went. There was a Charmeleon at her side, stomping along in a mock immitation of a Charizard. The trainer next to him was quiet, and it seemed as if she was ignoring the little pokémon stomping along cutely, always sticking to her side. But, every now and again, they would make eye contact, and somehow that was their conversation. That was all they needed, and the Charmeleon seemed perfectly contented by it, reassured almost as they travelled through the dark cave.

But all of a sudden Charmeleon stopped, and Deseray, the trainer, knealt down in front of it. She looked at it, and smiled, speaking. "What is it? What is it that your beastly eyes can see that my human eyes cannot?" Her voice was low, quite raspy, like she had a sore throat, and it was cold like ice, so chilling that it sent shivers down your spine. It was rain, wind, cold and bitter chill wrapped into one. Even with the smile it was quite menacing.

The Charmeleon pointed in front of them, and Deseray stood up, turned, and began walking, returning Charmeleon. She saw a hiker, and he saw her, they're eyes locked. Battle.

The two trainers stood opposite eachother in the cave, and the battle commenced. Deseray released Feraligtr, and the hiker let loose a freakish Sableye. And it begun.

"Bite." She said, rather quietly, at her rather sleepy Feraligtr. She growled through her teeth, walking beside the dozing pokémon, putting her face to the side of it's head. "NOW, FERALIGTR!" She yelled, eyes burning as her voice echoed. Feraligtr woke with a start, knashing his teeth he surged forwards, crunching in a fierce bite aimed at the opponent's Sableye. It recoiled at the attack, but did not faint. It charged back with fury swipes and Feraligtr charged it with tackle. Sableye used zen headbutt, and Feraligtr narrowly aboided it beofore letting lose a blast of ice-cold water. The Sableye slammed to the ground, and with a last moan of 'Sab-leye...', fainted. Feraligatr turned and stomped back to stand in front of Deseray, facing the opponent. The hiker stared at Deseray and her Feraligtr, returning Sableye. He looked up at her. "Sableye has never been beaten before, but you beat him within a mere amount of moves..." Deseray shrugged, and spoke without a second thought. "Send out your replacement..."

Deseray often battled the stronger trainers that she would come across, and this one proved quite interesting, ut nothing compared to the leagues.

The hiker sent out an Alakazam, quite a strong looking specimen. Deseray gritted her teeth, not good. The Alakazam took one look at Feraligtr and before the hiker said anything, used a rather well-rehearsed focus punch. Feraligtr recoiled and dropped, before fainting. Deseray growled, clenched her fists, then returned the fainted pokémon. The hiker laughed, but Deseray was silent, releasing a large and rather ferocious looking Garchomp.

The hiker stopped laughing instantly as the Garchomp looked at Deseray. She nodded, and somehow, in that one movement, there was ferocious intent...intent to win. And the Garchomp could sense it, you could see it in it's eyes as it stared at the Alakazam, and it's eyes were like that of a killer's, cold and without concience, but Garchomp would not kill, no, that would anger his trainer. So it charged forwards in dragon rush attack, knocking the Alakazam clean off it's feet and into the cave wall, were it left a large dent and slumped to the floor. Garhcomp snorted to the side and stared at the hiker with vicious eyes.

The battle was won, the hiker only having two pokémon at his side. Deseray returned Garchomp, and the hiker did the same with his Alakazam. He stared after her as she walked away, not a word of condolence to her defeated opponent.

Chapter 1.1 The Dragon Master

Chapter 1.1 The Dragon Master...

The team rocket grunt called out to his pidgeot

"Faster! I didn't train you to get caught" the pidgeot sped through the air, every flap straining its wings.

"Return the Dratini quietly" Drake's voice was calm but his eyes were blazing with anger. The grunt was flying through the air above him, and Drake was chasing him by ground.

"Why would i do that?" The grunt sneered

"Alright... Messie!" He threw a pokeball, and a massive dragon pokemon stepped out of the red light.

"Salamance!" It roared

"Lets get him.." Drake said and jumped on the pokemon's back. Salamance took off leaving a cloud of dust behind him.

The grunt turned his head, and his expression changed to fear as he saw Drake and his dragon pokemon chasing him.

"What is it to you anyway?" The grunt yelled, his pidgeot was already tired from flying.

"Those Dratini mean a lot to me.. and you just don't go around stealing pokemon!" He yelled, "Messie, Flamethrower" He continued when they were in range. The dragon pokemon opened her jaws and engulfed the pidgeot and the grunt in flames. The pidgeot fell down and crashed to the ground. "Now the pokemon?" Drake insisted.

"Never!" The grunt threw two more pokeballs and a growlithe and a poliwhirl stepped out.

"Growl, use flamethrower, Poly, back him up with bubblebeam!" The grunt yelled, and his pokemon faced Messie.

"Messie" Drake said. Images flashed through his mind. Messie could easily counter the elemental attacks, but the impact would make a large explosion, endangering all of them, but if she dodged them, the grunt might get away. He shouldn't have left his other pokemon at home, tyra could easily haven taken care of them. "... Messie, pick up speed" The dragon pokemon turned around and flew towards the grunt.

"Now!" The grunt yelled, and a blast of fire and water came out.

"Messie... dodge and counter with dragon pulse!" He yelled, Messie had so much speed she could easily catch up. She twisted midair, and sailed around the elemental beam. Then she opened her jaws and shot a purple beam at the two pokemon, who fell at the grunt's feet.

"My trunk card... go Ninetails!" The grunt yelled, and a nine tailed pokemon stepped out of the red light.

"Jeez, more?" Drake asked "Messie end it" the pokemons mouth lid up.

"Huh whats this!" The grunt yelled out "Ninetails! Fire blast!" The ninetails shot out a cross of fire, but it was too late. Messie opened her jaws and unleashed a hyperbeam, engulfing the fireblast, and the pokemon alike.

"..." The grunt was speachless.

"Messie grab the bag" She hooked a bag on her claws and brought it back to Drake. He opened it and found five dratini. These guys must be scared out of their minds. he thought, and then looked at the Grunt "Well, Scram!" He yelled, and the grunt ran away.

"Giovannie will get you!" The grunt yelled as he ran away.

"Messie, can you take us home?" Drake asked her, and soon they were flying through the peaks of the mountains.

"To Dratini lake" He told the dragon, and she dove down, in between the mountains, past the pine trees, until they saw the mist. A forest filled with mist, and a lake in the middle of it.

"Here" He said when they stopped at the lake. It was a beautiful lake in between the mountains, with a dragon essence to it. He opened the bag and let the Dratini get in the water, then he climbed on his Dragon and flew home.

Sadly.... Due to personal reasons my time is restricted and i need to drop this RP... I'm sorry to you Yuki and to the other roleplayers as well..... as for now I am removing myself from this roleplay....

SU

NAME: Scythe Rage
GENDER: Male
AGE: 18
APPEARENCE: Scythe is short for his age, standing at only 6 foot 5. But Scythe is a fairly muscular kid due to the fact that he didnt want to get picked on for being short. In warm weather Scythe wears black shorts and a dark blue shirt with a pokeball in the middle. He also wears a light blue and black hat. In colder Weather Scythe wears a medium blue hoodie and a pair of jeans that have a few rips in them. He switches his hat for a blue beanie. Also above Scythes right eye is a scar.

PERSONALITY: Scythe is a very outgoing person who will stop at nothing to be the best. Scythe helps anybody no matter who they are, mainly because thats how he was raised. You'll almost never see Scythe without a smile on. When Scythe enters a battle though his face turns serious and he becames a different person. In battle he will do anything necessary to win, which causes him to sometimes push his pokemon to far. But he doesn't mean to, after the battle he feeds his pokemon and apologizes for how he acted during the battle. He really is a caring person, but the reason he acts the way he does in battle is due to the way his father trained him.

HISTORY: Scythe placed fourth in the Johto League a year ago and sixth in the Kanto League 2 years before that. Before Scythe became a trainer though, his dad had been hard on him about being the best. He would always train Scythe with a Charmeleon and taught Scythe many good tactics. When Scythe returned home to say goodbye with his new Bulbasaur, his father gave him the Charmeleon to take with him. Shortly after this Scythe's father had disapeared and Scythe hasn't heard from him since. Due to this Scythe tries not to use Charmeleon to much cause he is afraid he will lose it (this is why it hasn't evolved after being in 2 leagues). After placing fourth in the Johto League Scythe returned home and everyone in town looked up to Scythe including his mom. She was always afraid of getting attacked, so she took Scythe everywhere with her. When they went to Hoenn once, Scythe decided to try out a pokemon contest. With the help of his Pikachu Scythe was able to win.

Chapter 1.2- The Surprise! Double Battle League, Here i Come!

"Drake? Drake!" Drake had been thinking about the team rocket grunt in the hot springs. The hot springs were heated by the volcano, and the perfect place to ponder. Since when had team rocket gone out of kanto. The main criminals were team aqua and magma, would team rocket form a threat? He was interrupted when somebody called his name. He climbed out of the hot springs and dried himself up.

"Coming!" He yelled down. He knew nobody was in the den, because he was the only human on top of the mountain. He got dressed and walked down the cave hallway, then turned into a room. It wasn't a super big room; just his bedroom, with a bed, closet, sofa, tv, videogames, a big desk with papers, and of course a computer. He sat down on the chair looked at the screen. The room had rocky walls and a ceiling, but the long side of the building was a floor to ceiling window, overlooking the mountain range. His grandpa; and his namesake, -well... he was his grandpa's name sake- was smoking a cigar and peering through the screen.

"Hey gramps" Drake said.

"Hum" His grandpa sniffed

"What is it?" Drake asked, picking up a can of coke, but immediately spitting it out when he took a sip. "Ugh, stale" He sputtered, and his grandpa started laughing

"Well Drake, you were looking for a challenge right?" He said with a smile.

"Yeah!" Drake said, starting to get interested. What could it be, a super world cup? Underwater championship?

"The DBL" Gramps said.

"DBL?" Drake asked in surprise.

"Double battle league" His grandpa explained.

"Hmm, ive done that before, tough i might just beat it, i already have a team in mind" Drake blurted out.

"Hold it youngster, remember the way of a dragon?" His grandpa said.

"Oh right" Drake had learned it while meditating at Dragon Mountain. The main attributes were, calm and fierce, and Drake just couldn't adapt to it.

"And in this one, you don't get to take your pokemon" Gramps said

"Wait what?" Own pokemon? How was he supposed to fight. "Did i miss something?"

"No, you didn't-" His gramps snorted "Its like a whole new journey, but in a double battle world with new pokemon"

"Interesting" Drake thought about it, but then he made up his mind "Team rocket has shown themselves near the mountain, i cant leave now" He muttered with disappointment.

"Thats alright" His grandpa said "Ill watch em' i hope you got the guest room ready"

"No why?" Drake asked in surprise

"Cause im here" A voice behind him said.

Drake spun around and a smile crossed his face as he saw who it was.

"Gramps!" He ran over and hugged his grandpa.

"Hey Hey!- Yourse sixteen now!" He said shaking off Drake.

"Well i haven't seen you for like three years" Drake said.

"Very well...- now ill watch the mountain, and you pack your bags" He said, and then handed Drake a flyer and a ticket and a phone type thing"

"Whats this?" He asked his grandpa

"Its a digital phone camera thingy-" His grandpa said "It uses the video chat we've been using on the computer, so that you can contact me if there is trouble"

"Cool, well im off" He ran out of the room and his grandpa shook his head.

"Uhh" Drake stumbled back in, head red with embarrasment. "This is my room" He walked to his closet and grabbed a backpack.

"Well cya" he whistled and Messie appeared in front of the glass wall.

"Wait you have a backpack ready?" Gramps asked

"Yea just in case..." Drake opened up a big latch in the glass and jumped through jumping on messie's back.

"Messie lets go say goodbye" He said and Messie shot forward. Their first stop was the Dragonite area, full with dragonite. He waved as he flew past and the Dragonite roared. He continued doing this in the salamance area, tyranitar area, garchomp area, and a couple more.

"Now Messie" He said when they were done "You're going to drop me off somewhere" The Dragon wailed in protest, not wanting to be separated. Then he realized something, and took out his phone.

"Gramps" He told it.

"Yes Drake..."

"I can use any stage 1 pokemon right?"

"Yeah.. as long as theyre new to battling" His grandpa said

"Cool!" He closed the phone.

"Messie, lets go to the nursery" He told the dragon, and a minute later they arrived at a bright cave.

"Hey Leaf, Spy!" He caled in, and then went inside. The nursery was full with pokemon eggs and hatchers, and just hatched pokemon. In the corner were his very own pokemon, Leafeon and Espyeon, with their baby twin eevees.

"Are they old enough?" Drake asked his pokemon and they nodded.

"So they're ready for a journey?" His pokemon padded up and brushed their muzzles with their kids' and then nodded. Drake took out two pokemon and touched the twins, capturing them.

"Thanks, you're going to be proud of 'em" He said "Now im going to go to a double battle league, you guys be careful ok?" He stroked them over their heads and then walked outside.

"Hey, Blaze" He shouted towards the valley below and his Charizard flew up.

"Blaze, tell the other pokemon that my grandpa is going to watch you and that you, Aero -his aerodactyle-, and Messie are in charge ok?" His pokemon nodded and flew away again.

"Now Messie, lets go" She roared and jumped up. Soon they were flying in the skies. Where Drake felt most at home. Wind rush through his hair, his lungs filling up with cold air, he enjoyed it, as it would be his last time until he got a dragon or flying pokemon in the DBL.

"You know the port right?" He asked Messie. She roared in response.

"Good..." and he lay back, closing his eyes...

Chapter 1 post 1.1

"Scythe honey get up and come with me to the store I need some supplies!" Scythe's mother yelled as the young man rolled out of his bed. "Ahhhh mom really?" Scythe said as he began getting dressed. It had been 3 months since Scythe had placed fourth in the Johto League and he was getting sick of being home again.

"Thank you for coming honey, i'll be just a minute!" Scythe's mother said as she entered the store leaving Scythe outside to wait for her. "Excuse me!" a kid said as he tapped Scythe on the shoulder. "Uhh ya?" Scythe responded back to the kid. "Are you Scythe Rage, the one who battled in the Johto League?" the kid than asked. "Why yes I am" Scythe said suprised that someone recognized him that way.

"Well than I would like a battle with you! Come on out Lickitung!" the boy yelled as he tossed his pokemon's pokeball in the air. "LICKKIII!" the pokemon yelled as it came out of the ball and stared at Scythe.

"uhhh what...a battle...ha i guess i could use one! Let's go Charmeleon!" Scythe said as he sent out his Dad's pokemon. "CHARRR!" the pokemon yelled as it blew fire from it's mouth.

"Let's do this! Lickitung, use body slam!" the boy ordered the attack from his pokemon. "LICKI!" the pokemon yelled as it charged in towards the Charmeleon. "Charmeleon use fire punch as it comes in!" Scythe said to his pokemon.

The Lickitung flung itself into the air and than began to dive right overtop of Charmeleon. "CHARRRR CHARRR!" the fire pokemon yelled as it smacked it's flamming fist right into the chest of the Lickitung. "LICKIIIII!" the pokemon yelled as it was sent flying off course into an orange stand.

"Ahhh Lickitung no!" the boy said as he ran over to check on his pokemon. "Wow Charmeleon you really pack a punch huh buddy?" Scythe said as he began to chuckle. "Alright well my Lickitung is knocked out but I have one more pokemon! Lets go Wartortle!" the boy yelled as he sent in his second pokemon.

"WARTTTT" the pokemon yelled as it put its fist in the air. "Alright Charmeleon return. Come on out Venasaur!" Scythe yelled as he sent out his starter pokemon. "VEEEENNNNA!" the pokemon yelled as it began raising its head in the air.

"Grrrr Wartortle use Mega Kick!" the kid ordered his pokemon. "Venasaur use headbutt!" Scythe commanded from his pokemon. "VEEEEN" the giant pokemon yelled as it charged towards the attacking Wartortle. "WARTTTOR" the pokemon said as it raised its foot and flew in to kick Venasaur.

The kick was no use...Venasaurs headbutt sent the Wartorle flying back next to the kid's legs. "Nice one Venasaur!" Scythe said as he slapped his pokemon on the back. "Ahhh Wartortle use another Mega Kick!" the boy than ordered. "WART" the pokemon stated as it began to charge at Venasaur again.

"Venasaur use Solar Beam!" Scythe yelled out to his pokemon. "VEEEEEN" the pokemon said as it charged up. "Do it Wartortle!" the boy said ordering his pokemon to finish it's mega kick. "VEEEENAAA SAUUUUUR!!!!" the giant grass pokemon hollered as it fired a gigantic solar attack right at the Wartortle.

"WARRRRTTTT" the pokemon said as it took the attack head on and fell unconcious. "Wow I give...you really are something!" the boy said as he returned his pokemon. "Well thanks but it's really my pokemon who do all the work!" Scythe than stated as he returned Venasaur to it's ball.

"My names Johnny by the way, and I was sent here for a reason." the kid told Scythe.
"O ya and what's that?" Scythe than asked him. "How would you like to take part in a new league?" Johnny than asked Scythe. Scythe just stood their without an answer for a second. He than saw his mom walk out of the store, and he knew this would be the challenge he's been waiting for. "Tell me more!" Scythe hurridely said to the man.

1.2 - Worthy? Oh, yeah!

Head against a tree trunk, a Garchomp snoozing at her feet, Deseray Carlisle was ever watchful in the forest. Her eyes would stare into the gloomy depts of the forest, the occasionally flicker to the town on her far right side. And it was while she was looking to her far right side that she spotted it, pinned to a tree...

'DBL - Are you worthy?'
'Are you a trainer looking for a new challenge? A trainer bored of everything else? A trainer who is worthy of the title 'Double Battle League Champion'?
If this is you, go and visit the derelict mansion in the midst of the forest, the perfect battle situation.
And how many trainers, you ask, are you trying out?
Just three.
Make it fast or miss the oppertunity of a lifetime!
Trainers tried out: TWO'

She stared at the flyer for a moment before leaping up from her sitting position and turning on her heel, beggining to stride into the forest. Garchomp woke, hearing te rustling of the leaves and Deseray's farmiliar footfall. He stood up, stretched, and followed at her side. Deseray looked at him for a second, and smiled. "A new challenge awaits, but only if we are fast and worthy." She said, the tone of her unusual voice lifting slightly at the prospect of a new challenge.

Garchomp roared, and Deseray smiled, clambering onto it's back as the pokémon set off at a run faster than any human could manage. "Do not try to fly, my friend, it would endanger us both." Deseray warned, eyeing the trees that they raced past. Garchomp nodded and carried on running until they reached the old, run-down building at the center of the forest. Deseray jumped off, and returned the pokémon. No other trainers were in sight as she entered, looking around the large building. A young man was standing in the corner, eyes down, a pokéball in each hand. He looked up at Deseray and spoke.

"Finally, a last challenger." He said, he sounded as if he was in his early twenties. "I shall give you two pokémon, at their first evolutionary stage, to borrow for this battle. They are both type weaknesses to my pokémon and are untrained, only having been used twice. My pokémon are fully trained. This is how you will start the Double Battle League. Starting afresh like all trainers did once upon a time."

Deseray nodded, not questioning the trainer.

"I have not yet found a worthy trainer, as all the trainers I have challenged have failed to co-ordinate their new pokémon effectively, and have forgotten how to behave when faced with dissobedience. Let us hope I have finally found a worthy trainer, shall we?"

Deseray just stared.

"...Ok, well, here are your two pokémon."

He threw Deseray the two pokéballs he was holding, she caught one in each hand and released the pokémon inside.

Charmander and Totodile.

She laughed, boy did she laugh. "How can any trainer fail to master two simple beings? Do they not grasp the concept of childhood? Because that is what these two pokémon are!" She wiped her eyes and sighed.

Charmander and Totodile were busy playing chase with eachother, firing jets of water and flame as they ran around the room endlessly.

The trainer looked at her. "Well, you certainly have the right outlook..." He said, a strage expression on his face as he released his two pokémon.

Treecko and Piplup.

This would be interesting.

"Right you two!" She yelled, and the pokémon immidately turned to face her. "Do you want to battle for me?"

The two pokémon stared at her, then nodded, running towards her in a frenzy of 'Char!' and 'Dile!'.

"But, one thing, you must do EXACTLY as I say." Deseray said, looking at the two pokémon in a stern manner. The two starters looked at eachother before turning back to Deseray. They nodded, reluctantly, but they nodded.
Deseray smiled. "And if you do good, you get a lava cookie each." The two nodded and stood in front of Deseray, suddenly fierce looks on they're small faces.

The opponent trainer stared.

"Game on." Deseray smiled.

The trainer shook his head before looking at his two pokémon. "Treeko, use Absorb on Totodile! Piplup, follow it up with Bubble on Charmander!" Deseray muttered silently under her breath as the two pokémon started their attacks. "Charmander, please dodge Piplup's attack as best you can, then use Ember on Treecko. Totodile, please endure the attack as best as you can, and use Rage!" The pokémon pondered, then obeyed. Charmander ran circles around Piplup, quite literally, avoiding the attack and making the little penguin dizzy at the same time. Piplup lost it's balance and fell over as Charmander used Ember on Treecko, knocking the lizard-like pokémon off it's feet...but not before it used absorb on Totodile. Totodile endured the attack, while building up it's Rage. Deseray smiled. "Now, Totodile, use Bite on Piplup while it's down!" Totodile obeyed and snapped its small jows as it bit down on the dizzy Piplup. Piplup, who had just stood up, fell back down to the ground. "Well done, Totodile!"

The opponent trainer was watching carefully as he called out the next set of attacks. "Piplup, use Peck on Totodile, and Treecko, if you can, use Quick Attack on Charmander!" The two obeyed and before Charmander knew it he was knocked off his feet...and couldn't get up, after just one hit he had fainted...he must have been a lot weaker... "Totodile! Dodge the attack and use Scratch on Treecko! Keep out of Piplup's way!" Totodile nodded and charged at Treecko, dodging Piplup as he went. Treecko was knocked backwards...and fainted. "Well done, Totodile! Now, finish off Piplup with Bite!" Totodile did this and before Piplup knew it it had fainted.

Deseray smiled, hugging the little Totodile. She smiled at the opponent, who was speechless, and spoke. "So, where is this?" She ruturned the Totodile and threw Charmander's and Totodile's pokéballs at the opponent, he caught them. "I shall give you your ticket, and you shall get the ferry to the DBL, and will await instructions." He said as he handed her a ticked. "You must leave your own pokémon behind and take no pokémon with you...good luck."

Deseray took the tickets and thanked the man as she turned and walked out of the room.

She released Garchomp and got on his back, they began flying to the port, she explained the DBL to him and everything else. He didn't mind that he had to go to the proffessor, he liked the proffessor, and he (Garchomp) would look after the other pokémon and explain to them. After all, it would only be for a little while...so he though...

They arrived at the port and looked around...a long journey for Deseray was ahead.

Chapter 2.1- New adventure; New friends

"Don't worry, ill come back" Drake soothed the distraught Salamance. Ever since they had stopped at the port she started moaning and roaring. Drake noticed people looking at him like he could take care of his pokemon.

"Hmph, ill show em" He murmered then louder he said "Messie, if i take you for one more ride, will you go back to the mountain?" He asked her and she nodded with tears in her eyes. He had had Messie for about 5 years now, and they had grown attached to each other. He jumped up and landed on her back.

"Lets go" He yelled, and Messie took off, flying over the port. He heard the people gasp below him. "Flamethrower" He grinned, and she shot fire through the air. "Now fly through it and use hyper pump!' He yelled and a cloud of mist erupted when the two blasts collided. "great, now get into the nearby forest"

Messie roared and flew away, Drake sitting on her back, enjoying the show. She landed between some thick trees and turned around and touched her muzzle to Drake's forehead.

"Im sorry, but you have to go now" He told her but she nodded this time and flew off. Drake watcher her go, suddenly he realized he had never left Messie before, she Blaze and Aero -his charizard and aerodactyle- were his main pokemon. Together with the twins -leafeon and espeon- Clearing up his mind he walked into the port, past the pokemon trying to find the boy and his dragon in the mist. Drake started to laugh.

"Fooled ya" He called out and ran past the people who wide-eyed started to chase him. 'this is kinda fun, i need the exercise anyway' he thought and ran around the port. Soon he got bored and sped up, outrunning them. He dove into an alley and waited for the people to pass, was it really that special to see one pokemon around here? He looked at his phone, there was still a while left before the boat was to leave. He walked out of the alley and heard a voice next to him.

"Showing off were we?" A girl said. Drake looked at the girl in surprise, she had long black hair, raggedy at the end, a long coat, and jeans, cut up at the knees. Then he grinned.

"How did ya find me?" He asked her.

2.1 - Friend or opposition? Or maybe both...

As they landed at the edge of the port, avoiding the masses of people and trainers alike, suddenly something became very clear to Garchomp. He would have to leave his trainer for maybe longer than a year. Something he had failed to realise before. As Deseray clambered off his back he stared at her, mouth open, blinking in sudden realisation. Deseray looked at the large purple dragon, and patted the bright yellow star on his nose. "It will be over before you know it, Garchomp, and maybe you will be alowed to battle with me near the end of my new adventure." She said soothingly, her normally harsh voice sounding gentler than usual.

Garchomp didn't sound too happy as he moaned a low 'Gar...chomp...'. He had been with Deseray since he was an egg. A dying egg. And he was saved by the very person that was leaving him now to persue something different. Yes, they would see eachother again, of course. And yes, maybe he would be able to battle with her at some stage in this new league. But it was an age away in his dragonic mind. He looked at her with sadness in his eyes, and a lone tear rolled down the side of his face. Deseray looked at him. "We never shed tears, Garchomp, you know i'll see you soon, maybe sooner than you think." She patted the top of his bowed head as he mulled her words over in his mind.

All of a sudden his posture straightned and he stood at his full height, towering over her. He roared loudly, his face lifting as he nudged her arm with his nose. "That's better." She said as she patted him again. "Now, go to the lab with the proffessor, you know him, he's one of my few friends, he'll look after you and the others..." She took a spare belt, a pen, six pokéballs, and a sheet of paper from her bag. She wrote a note on the paper and tucked it in the belt pocket. She took the six pokéballs of the belt she was wearing and clipped them to the spare belt, replacing the empty spaces on her own belt with empty pokéballs. She buckled the spare belt, now with her pokémon attached and a note in for the proffessor, around Garchomp's neck.

"Go on, Garchomp, go to the proffessor, he'll look after you." Garchomp nodded, headbutt Deseray gently in the arm, and catapulted into the air, flying into the distance.

As she was watching Garchomp go, another dragon in the sky caught her attention...a Salamance...and a boy riding it. Showing off. She watched as the jet of water met the flame and mist rained down on the crowd below. She shook her head. Showing off was a waste of time, if you were going to get recognised, you get recognised for something worth while. If you wanted to show off, you entered a contest, simple.

She sighed and walked into the crowd and mist, as the crowd raced past she saw the boy slip into a back alley. She almost laughed. So she swerved in between the crowd and into the same back alley, walking up behind the boy, her footsteps light and agile as a cat. Soundless and creeping.

"Showing off were we?" she asked, arms folded across her chest as she spoke. The boy turned. He was a fair few inches taller than her, with wild, spikey hair that looked slightly greasy. Someone needed to stop using hair products... But what stood out the most were his eyes, aquamarine. Quite unique.

A surprised expression crossed his face as he turned to look at her. "How did ya' find me?" he asked and she smirked. "To be perfectly honest it wasn't all too difficult...the crowd was going that way..." she pointed to her left "...and you were going that way." She pointed down the alley, the smirk still firm on her face. "Maybe next time you should save your showing off for competitions, rather than soaking a crowd with water mist. Luckily I personally was out of range of your little display, and didn't get wet. If i had gotten wet, on the other hand, than I wouldn't be talking to you right now, but rather...bellowing. So next time, think before you act if it's not too much to ask. That is all."

And on that note. She ended. Turning on her heel, hair billowing out behind her as she began to stride towards the entrance to the boat. She had a fair few minutes left until it departed, though, so she just waited by the ticket desk, back against the wall of the small building, staring around the port.

1.2 Double Battle League here I come!!!

"Scythe honey come on its time to go!" Scythe's mother yelled as she came out of the store. But Scythe was lost in thought as he heard about a new challenge. "You still there Scythe?" Johnny asked him. "Huh? O ya I'm here..." Scythe said as he looked over to his mom who was standing there impatient. "And i'll do it!" Scythe than said to the man.

After Scythe obtained the information about where the League was and when it started he headed back home with his mom.

"So who was that man you were talking to Scythe?" she asked him. Scythe just looked at his mom and prepared to break the noise. "Well mom he was a representative from a new pokemon league known as The DBL, and he wants me to go." He said to her. "O...well are you going to?" his mother said back with a sad look on her face.

"Well...ya mom I mean..I'm a pokemon trainer and I need to be out there accepting challenges..not couped up all day." Scythe said back. His mother began to cry and than said "You sound just like your father. You can go...just promise me you won't dissapear like he did.." his mom said back with tears running down her face.

"Don't worry mom I got this." Scythe said as he hugged her. "But the good news is i'll be leaving all of my pokemon here to keep you safe!" Scythe said to his mom as he handed over his bag of pokemon. "But honey why?" She said as she accepted the bag.

"Well apparantly have to start over fresh haha. But I don't mind it...it will be a great challenge to train brand new pokemon." Scythe than said as he still had one pokeball in his hand. "Than why do you have that one still?" his mom asked.

Scythe walked outside and released the pokemon inside. "ARRRRRR" the pokemon yelled as it came out of the ball. "Because I need to ride it to the DBL, but i'll be sending it back via computer!" Scythe told his mom as he hopped onto his well trained Arcanine.

"Good luck honey! I'll keep your pokemon safe!" Scythes mother said as she watched her son ride off in the distance. "Well DBL here I come, and i'm itching for a challenge!" Scythe said to himself as he rode his Arcaning further away from his house.
