Okay, here's another update.
So I beat Whitney easily on my first try, and went to pick up the squirtbottle. Captured Sudowoodo, since he's the only one you can get. After arriving at Ecruteak I kicked the Kimono girls' butts and went to do some training. Evolved Eliot and James! Then I just beat Morty and caught a goldeen to surf to Mahogany town.

-Checked my items and found mommy bought me a moon stone =3
-Evolved Nidorino to Nidoking (taught Nidoking surf)
-Went to Olivine City
-Helped Jasmine
-Battled and kicked her butt
-Got HM Strength (taught it to Typhlosion)
-Beat Chuck
-Got HM Fly
-Flew to Ecruteak
-Surfed across and arrived in Mahogany Town :)
-Pokemon both in upper 30s

Okay I got to Pryce, my Growlithe is an Arcanine now and its lvl 38... my Poliwag is a Poliwhirl and its lvl 31

Poliwhirl knows Dynamic Punch, Water Gun, Ice Punch, and Surf. I can't remember the Arcanine's moves and can't check.

I'm about to fight Pryce.

So far I'm using a Bellsprout for Cut, Pidgey for Fly, and a Nidoran for Strength and Rock Smash.

Sure, no problem, I'm using Crystal and I'm probably gonna have to cheat to get the Mareep in though from earlier post's I'm guessing that's not a problem? I've already started and I'll post my progress so far tomorrow when I get back from school, or something along those lines. xD;

Also thanks a rather like the avatar as well, though I've had it there for awhile now.

I started last night, but I was playing too much to post. I'll try to remember everything, but please forgive me if something gets left out.

New Bark Town - Violet City Arc

- Started the game at 6:24PM (that much I remember)
- Named myself GOLD
- Started in my house, in New Bark Town
- Got the Pokegear from my mom
- Set the day, Monday
- Went to Professor Elm's lab
- Picked Venonat as my starter ;D
- Got a Map Card for my Pokegear in Cherrygrove City
- Went to Mr. Pokemon's house
- Leveled up Venonat on the way
- Picked up the Egg
- Got a Pokedex from Professor Oak
- Phone call from Professor Elm
- Battled my rival on the way back to the lab
- Venonat defeated his Cyndaquil easily
- Returned to the lab
- Named rival, SILVER
- Gave the Egg to Professor Elm
- Got 5 Poke Balls
- Started my journey
- Beat all the trainers on the way to Violet City
- Got a call from my mom
- Told her not to save my money
- Defeated all the trainers in the Sprout Tower
- Saw SILVER, who ran away
- Defeated the lead Monk of Sprout Tower
- Got the HM for Flash
- Defeated the Violet City Gym
- Got the Zephyr Badge and the TM for Mud Slap from Falkner
- Recieved the Egg from Professor Elm's Aide
- Left Violet City

Route 32 - Ilex Forest Arc

- Travelled down Route 32
- Caught a Lv.6 Wooper
- Trained Wooper a bit
- Defeated all the trainers on Route 32
- Got the Old Rod
- Defeated all the trainers in Union Cave
- Made it to Route 33
- Headed into Azalea Town
- Met Kurt, who ran off to Slowpoke Well
- Followed Kurt
- Taught Wooper Mud Slap
- Defeated all the Team Rocket members in Slowpoke Well
- Returned to Azalea Town
- Got a Lure Ball from Kurt
- Defeated the Azalea Town Gym
- Wooper evolved into Quagsire
- Got the Hive Badge and the TM for Fury Cutter from Bugsy
- Battled Silver on the edge of town
- Won easily with Venonat and Quagsire
- Headed into Ilex Forest
- Caught Farfetch'd and returned it to it's master
- Got the HM for Cut
- Caught an Oddish as a HM Slave
- Taught Oddish Flash and Cut
- Moved to the Northern part of Ilex Forest
- Got the TM for Headbutt
- Made it out of Ilex Forest alive
- Got the TM for Sweet Scent

Route 34 - Route 37 Arc

- Headed up Route 34, defeating all the trainers on that route
- Entered Goldenrod City
- Got the TM for Ice Punch
- Taught Quagsire Ice Punch
- Got a Radio Card at the Radio Tower
- Got a Bicycle from the Bike Store
- Defeated the Goldenrod City Gym
- Got the Plain Badge and the TM for Attract from Whitney
- Got a Squirtbottle from the Flower Store
- Left Goldenrod City
- Defeated all the trainers on Route 35
- Got the TM for Rollout
- Went to the National Park
- Defeated all the trainer there
- Got the TM for Dig
- Got the Quick Claw
- Head out onto Route 36
- Defeated all the trainers there
- Used the Squirtbottle on the wierd tree blocking the route
- Caught Sudowoodo
- Got the TM for Rock Smash
- Headed up to Ecruteak City
- Defeated all the trainers on Route 37 on the way

This is only my first three badges, I'm actually up to Victory Road, but I'll post the rest of my journey later on.

-beat head of sprout tower at lvl 11
-beat falkner at lvl 14 (very annoying had to get all my PP down followed by many struggles in order to do any damage)
-fought all trainer before union cave (Gastly now lvl 18 and learned Curse)
-caught mareep lvl 5
-accidentally pressed b when Mareep was evolving in Union Cave, evolved it one level later at lvl 16
-beat team rocket of slow poke well gastly lvl 19, Flaaffy lvl 18
-beat bugsy Gastly Lvl 21, Flaaffy Lvl 18
-beat rival Gastly lvled up once
-taught Totodile(HM Slave) Cut
-Reached Goldenrod Gastly lvl 24, Flaaffy lvl 18
-Gastly evolved in Goldenrod's underground passage, Haunter lvl 25 Flaaffy lvl 18
-Got ought of underground and challenged 3 gym trainers before getting Bicycle, Haunter lvl 25, Flaaffy lvl 20
-Defeated Whitney Flaaffy lvl 22, Haunter lvl 25
-beat kimono girls Flaaffy lvl 28, Haunter lvl 25
-beat rival at burned tower Flaaffy lvl 29, Haunter lvl 25
-beat first gym trainer Flaaffy evolved at 30, Ampharos Lvl 30, Haunter lvl 26
-beat morty don't remember levels xD;;
-Forgot to take note of my progress earlier, so at this point I've gone through the lighthouse and made my way to Cianwood
-beat Eusine in Cianwood, Haunter lvl 34. Ampharos lvl 32

I have a question. Can the other pokemon we catch be used for catching other pokemon? like say i caught a jigglypuff that knows sing can i use it to help catch an abra that i need to trade for machop?

I plan on using my starter (Cyndaquil) and Mareep. I will be playing the Gold version.
(I was originally planning on using Crystal, but I'm pretty sure you can't catch Mareep in Crystal.)

-Was level 10 by Violet City
-Caught Bellsprout (HM Slave for Cut and Flash)
-Cyndaquil Evolved before the last guy in the Sprout Tower
-Smashed first gym
-Got the Egg
-Found Swift TM in Union Cave and taught it, and Mud Slap to Quilava, which is currently level 19, with Swift, Mud Slap, Ember and Smoke Screen coming out of the Union Cave.

- Got the card Key from the real Director
- Defeated Rocket Executive at the top of the Radio Tower
- Made it through the Ice Path
- Beat Clair in Blackthorn Both Gengar and Ampharos Lvl 46
- Made it to Rest House on Route 26
- Beat Rival at the end of Victory Road Gengar Level 52, Ampharos Level 48
- Lost to Koga D:
- Tried again this time I was defeated by Karen
- BEAT THE ELITE FOUR AND LANCE Gengar Level 56, Ampharos Level 52
- Boarded the S.S Aqua and found the little girl and arrived at Vermillion City
- Defeated Lt. Surge at Vermilion City
- Defeated Sabrina in Saffron City
- Defeated Erika in Celadon City Gym
- Defeated Janine in Fuschia City GYm
- Went to power plant, and retrieved machine part from grunt in Cerulean
- Got Extension Card for Radio
- Caught Snorlax near Diglett Cave
- Arrived at Pewter Defeated Brock
- Went all the way down to cinnibar and talked to Blue
- Continued to Seafoam Island and Defeated Blaine Gengar 61, Ampharos 62
- Defeated Blue at Viridian Ampharos 63, Gengar 62
- Walked in on Misty and some guy at Cerulean Cape
- Defeated Misty the last Gym Leader I had to fight, Ampharos lvl 64, Gengar 62

I think I'm done with this challenge now o.o (unless I missed something I had to do in addition to all of this)

-Started my game
-Received the PokeGear
-Took a stroll over to Elm's to receive my first Pokemon
-Kept resetting (yay for F1) until I got a female Cyndaquil. I got one on the fifth try.
-Received Potion from Professor Elm's Aide
-Headed to Cherrygrove City
-Got the Grand Tour of the city and received the Map Card for my PokeGear
-Headed out to Route 30
-Received a Berry from that fellow in the first house
-Barged into Mr. Pokemon's house and got the Mystery Egg
-Received the Pokedex from Professor Oak
-Got phoned by Professor Elm and started back to New Bark Town
-Took on my rival at the entrance to Route 29 and steamrolled his Totodile
-Made it back to New Bark Town
-Named my rival "Kamon", and received 5 Poke Balls from Elm's Aide
-Got Mom to save my money
-Headed back out to Route 29, watched some guy demonstrate (badly) how to catch Pokemon
-Breezed through Cherrygrove on my way to Route 30
-Took on the trainers on Route 30 and 31 (and accidentally registered that Joey guy's number… xD)
-Arrived in Violet City and headed straight for the Gym
-Whooped the two underlings, then Falkner
-Received the Zephyr Badge and TM31, Mud-Slap!
-Got phoned by Elm, again, and went to the Pokemon Centre to get the Egg from his Aide
-Went out to Route 32, received a Miracle Seed from that road-blocking guy
-Caught a Level 6 Mareep on Route 32 (Male)
-Headed back to Violet City to start training Mareep at Sprout Tower

-Hatched Egg and ditched togepi, and for the sake of it, got the other egg
-Got the Spearow with mail from the guy in the gate type thing (HM slave for Fly)
-Battled Whitney and after she kept using milk drink i finally got a critcal hit with karate chop with machop
-After 3 badges, Quilava is Level 25, and Machop is Level 22, i also have Spearow, and Bellsprout and the 'mystery egg'
