It's threads with a lot of posts on it. The threads start to lag and somehow, you tend to post twice. Normally, if you click the button twice.

When you're in big threads (as in, ones that have more than 50 pages) or have slow net connection, you should try using the advanced editor instead of quick reply. That way, you'll be able to avoid double-posting. :] Not really sure what causes this glitch, buut, yeah, it could definitely be sort of annoying at times.

It would be good if mods/the creators of the thread made a new one to avoid this problem >< it's vary rare that these long threads actually need the 50+ pages before anyway, as they are mostly DCC.

happened to me weeks ago saw many others having it too now only has happened once recently i think i double pressed post
It started happening like a month ago perhaps a change to the site may caused this?

The Quick Reply should be scrapped.
That way double posting will be avoided.

It's not a big enough problem to disable the function for the entire forum, given that double posting mostly occurs in large threads.

Maybe it would make sense to remake some of the larger threads until whatever's causing it can be fixed? Like at the very least the DCC(s) could go back to being monthly or something to help mitigate the problem.

Of course but on the other hand... Is there a reason to not disable Quick Reply?
The difference between QR and New Reply is just one click.
In my opinion that would resolve the problem faster than each month creating new and new threads.

For people that use QR for every post, that's multiple extra clicks a day, instead of a few extra clicks once a month for one person. In an argument of efficiency, it's far more efficient to have one person put forth a second of effort once a month than everyone else on the entire forum put forth a second of effort every post every single day.
