Hey, mates! I just registered here and have been taking a look at your setup for this board. The Dog's Bollocks it is! Anyway, I have been thinking of this for the past days, and have thought it quite interesting and was wondering if you mates could take a look.

I call it Double Killing Espeon.

Now what this is is an Espeon that is made for taking care of annoying Double Teamers. Here is said Espeon:

    Espeon @Leftovers/Focus Band
    Psych Up
    Swagger
    Swift
    Morning Sun

The setup is like this: As soon Espeon faces a Double Teamer, it throws out a Swagger. When opponent uses Double Team, you Psych Up and copy your opponent's Double Team to make Espeon harder to hit. Now Espeon is ready and Doubled up. If they do manage to hit Espeon, he can heal with Morning Sun. Notice that when Espeon uses Swagger, the opponents attack becomes greater, so Psyching Up will also give Espeon a higher attack as well as more evasiveness to make the pitiful Swift do some more damage. I've noticed that many Double Teamers don't have access to moves like Swift or Faint Attack, which gives Espeon an advantage, since he will be very hard to hit, if by some chance he does suffer, our little conceited cat (fox, thing or whatever it is) can heal itself with the sun's rays. If sad Espeon has Leftovers, he will become harder to kill. If eating like a pig constantly isn't your thing (look at Espeon's waistline...can s/he get any skinnier?!?!?) then you can give him the Focus Band and hope it hangs on.

That being said, this is just an idea, but I think this rather risky moveset might work for the reasont that nobody really expects this thing to actually annoy in battle.

    He doesn't learn Swagger.

Who said so? Move tutor please.

And no need to swear like that too Miracle Fingers...

The moveset still doesn't work, because I wonder what happens if...

    a) the opponent got a lum berry *gasp*
    b) the opponent is a ghost/steel/rock *gasp*
    c) the opponent isn't stupid to stand still and lead off with double team without crippling you in one way or another first *gasp*
    d) Espeon isn't that tanky at all *gasp*
    e) the result is worst than Jumpluff going swords dance + aerial ace sweep, and it takes a much more dangerous and lengthy setup?

This strategy works, but just not on Espeon...

Espeon cannot learn Swagger. From anywhere.

    * Except Emerald. Nearly anything can get Swagger, like in GSC.

And Emerald isn't even out yet.
So Espeon doesnt learn Swagger, as I said.

Japanese versions can trade with US/EU versions now. GSC/RBY had region-blocking code; RSE and FL do not.

meh... imo that can only work on n00bs and in game... but yet, only noobs use DT so i think itll go fine...

but imo, persion or medicham can do a better job (cuz they have higher attack and way better physical moves) and espeon should be fit as a special sweeper

Besides, the only time Espeon should Psych Up is to Baton Pass.

Does Espeon learn Hypnosis? (is too lazy to check NB). If it can, "Sup Curselax/Drumlax. Eat Hypnosis. Then eat a BP Psyche Up to my tank who will rock j00r sox ;0"

No. Perisan sounds good for belly drum eating too =p as it does have hypnosis... *adds it to Battledex* XD

Yeah, it will be funny when that 55 accuracy move misses and Return pwns j00 ;(.

Jumpluff gets Sleep Powder and Psyche Up, but its defences are down there with Persian. Unfortunately, it has a poor phyical move-pool.
